if a cop is outside your door you do not have to let them in. you don't have to open the door.

YOU CANNOT BE COMPELLED TO TALK TO ANY POLICE OFFICER FOR ANY REASON!! all they can do is subpenea you as a material witness, at which point you can plead the 5th......

you should've just slid a paper under the table that read: I do not talk to police without an attorney present, and i do not consent to a search of my property, everybody inside this home is ok, nothing is wrong, please leave........ if they refused to leave it's trespassing.... and if they come with we're following up, you can tell them to follow up somewhere else cuz you aint talking to them....

they leave, you're in the clear.....

next time don't open the door. if the cops can come into you're house, they won't ask for permission, or have you open the door so they can 'smell' the pot..... they'll crash in, guns in the air, hollering their asses off... there is nothing illegal about you not opening the door for the cops. not talking to them is you're right. and not talking to them also means not having to go up to them to tell them you won't talk to them....

Well some good news finally came in. They aren't gonna follow through with the Felony charge. It was dropped. NowI just gotta get rid of the two misders....

I was catching up on this thread, and honest to God, I was SO feeling for you!
The very idea that any single person could be placed under such extreme grief for something so innocent will never cease to amaze me. No one should ever be placed in a position to feel compelled to pay (rather over-pay) an over priced attorney who views themselves as God reincarnate.

The way this entire system is set up is sickening.

The only way to deal with this injustice is to stop appealing to the norm and accepting even the meager punishment allotted you.

It's all so very ridiculous......as if life in and of itself doesn't pass you more than enough worries/concerns....just await your trustworthy "authorities" to pile on some more bogus baloney.

It's odd living in a country and hearing of so many varying conflicts. It truly makes it hard for me to fathom that this is America.

Just recently, "a friend" had a neighbor call the police on "this friend" due to hearing a loud voice....apparently they were "concerned"...

This person had been merely arguing via the phone with another individual.

Naturally, the police showed up to perform their duty...."my friend" assured them they had nothing to worry about. The police INSISTED they come in to verify there was nothing to be concerned about. "My friend" told them very adamantly that would NOT be necessary. They INSISTED it WAS..........NO warrant.

They managed to stumble upon this friends grow. I'm sure this poor guy was on the verge of pissing in his pants---but they nonchalantly ignored what they witnessed and went about their business.

It's odd to hear about varying circumstances. I myself had a run-in with authorities whereas they approached my home to question me regarding neighbors. They witnessed a bowl in eye sight and noted it.

I told them I was in the process of moving and that was something being thrown out....that it was from high school days.

They were on their way and that was the end of that.

All too unfortunately, not all police are so eager to overlook something so innocent.

I live for the day when ALL people in this country are afforded the right to peacefully live within their own home and toke........sheesh.

SO happy to hear there are no felony charges.......would LOVE to hear it's been dropped altogether.

I went to court today. I got time served. No probation.
