fucking ants in the pot

yea johnny ive actually done both before belive it or not hah and i belive that i would never do it again... i guess it doesnt matter anyway as long as it works.

What's a mild dishsoap nowadays or which do you use? They all have lemon or orange or some kind of grease cutter and it worries me about putting it on my plant. I intend to use Neem oil spray on my plants starting next week just to protect- I've noticed a few bugs munching holes already.

Actually, the guy I got the Neem from suggested Castile soap. A good brand is "Dr Bonners" and you can pick it up from your local health food store. We use the peppermint flavor. Smells good and all natural. No chemicals. Ivory dishsoap works too and that is in any grocery/convenience store.
 
Coffee grounds will upset your Ph for the soil. My favorite and it works well and will last more than a week is to take cig buts or cigar and make a tea. Making the tea will take a few days sun brewed or if simmered a hour or so. The water should look like weak Iced Tea.......you can pour it on the soil and you can spray the leaves to act as a repellant. This method will not upset your Ph or harm your plant.
 
im having the exact same problem... aphids and ants everywhere and i need some serious help. I started with 8 plants and now im down to 3. Neem oil will maybe help, i hope. I sprayed with flower insecticide everywhere as a last hope, but i think my plants are doomed...
 
i am lol... i just made some really nasty cigarrette bud tea. only it isnt light coloured, its more of a black. maybe i should water it down?
 
I had some plants that were 6 weaks old outdoors and i ahdent checked them for a weak because it rained every other day so i ahd no reason to then when i went to check them they were half dead, i flipped em upside down and i could see tons of ants eating away at the roots and still carrying the roots, it was bullshit so i massacred my plant and all the ants with some raid :) take that ass holes!
 
Put a bowl of water under your pots raise the pots there out of the water.
the water acts as a mowt
stopping most grownd tresspassers
 
mix sugar water with borax and spray it around your pot and it will attract the ants and will kill them when they eat the borax, u can use corn starch 2... they cant consume the stuff. it makes them bloat and die.
 
Mowt? Is that what a chicken does one a year? Hey Hillbilly, tell'em how to run off the ants by blowing into a jug bottle..... The 'Mowt' works, but a light spray of ant killer works, unless you spray it on the plants.., then all bets are off.
 
I wouldn't want ant poison anywhere near something I plan on smoking... But i guess thats how they do it in Texas.

and what about the nicotine and tar not accounting the other hundred's of chemicals in cigarrettes :spew:not very good for the plant's in my eye's

when i have trouble with bug's i mix a lil baking soda a lil soap any kind dawn is what i use and bam neem oil does work if u have it i don't have any so i just made a batch of baking soda and soap.

when mixing chemical's be careful certain chemicals do not react well when mixed example clorox aka bleach mixed with amonia can put off deadly fumes or if mixed in the right proportions could possible explode

Had the same problem a couple weeks back. Ants were making homes in my buds I bought some stuff from the hydro store called permaguard . Didn't work so I just let them go. I'd shake the plants every visit to get as much soil out of buds possible. After harvest I didn't notice barely any soil on the buds when they dried. One bud had a bunch of suicide ants on it. That's crazy that they just crawl into a big bud get stuck in trichs and die.
 
this is going to my first outdoor grow and i have 97 seeds. I'll appreciate all the help i could get or just come by and check my grow journal out and subscribe. see how everything turns out for my gorilla grow!
