Yeah man... molasses is the shiiiiit... nice resinous juicy dense buds is what it's all about.

Though in your case it could have been many things, root rot is also caused by over watering or even just bad drainage in your soil. But you would have a better idea as to what your situation is, you could always try re-potting and stop molasses until theyre old enough to handle it.

thanks for all the input and yes Im hydro, have give them a good flushing again and been foliar feeding with some supervit, looks like I only lost 1 , the other 4 dodgy looking ones have pick'ed up now and arnt looking to bad. As the old saying goes 'we live and learn' think Ill just stick to the nutes and the good old cO2, would it be poss to use them later on in the final weeks of flowering??? and yes at the min they are just vegging

You don't mention the use of hydrogen peroxide to actually fix the problem. Your plants may have only perked up because you foliar fed but it's roots can still be rotting and or being eaten by gnats... You need h2o2 whether you have gnats or not if the roots are brown.

b carefull with h2o2 it can kill everything if not used as directed and not to b used on seedling or small plants, same as molasses dont use it til ur flowering. If your gona try h2o2 use at half stregth, it can wipe out ur whole grow by the next morning.

and byhalf strength i mean read the back and how much to use per liter usually 1 mil i think depending on concentration and use half, it sound liek the molases covered your roots and they aint breathing right.

It's already hydro!! Why try something new when something old has already been proven time in and out? and by the way post don't mean a thing........

I don't actually have very many posts here and yes post count doesn't mean jack. You should go into the hydro forum and post asking about h202 for brown roots, then you'll get confirmation quicker. It's standard practice but yes you have to use the right amount for whatever gallons you are running and make sure you aren't over estimating the number of gallons of actual water.
Having airstones won't help for the root rot, h202 is not the same. H202 eats dying and infected tissue and cleans up infections and fungus like root rot, but airstones will just keep feeding the problem.

It is always best to get several opinions... Explain the situation well in your post in the right forum.
