And it's in the freaking Ocean, rather than being isolated in a specific area, like Chernobyl.

I think it's safe to assume that the sky has indeed officially fallen.
 
on the bright side, maybe in a few years we won't have to use wet suits to go body surfing near Ventura anymore. The radiation will warm the waters to Florida levels?
