Spinosad works well...diatomaceous earth also help to keep them at bay... U can spray a tarp during ur dry days with water the moisture attracts insects when they try to crawl out they hurt themselfs and die.. Must be a cheap woven tarp i think acrylic or nylon cross weave

Mosquitoe drench works okay also...ive heard of a oil mixture also that will make ur medium intolerable for gnats. Rosemary/lemongrass/habenro oil mix water...
Gnat knix is a cool product i think its expanded glass. Kinda expensive if ur large scale

not sure if anybody has answered this, you can add sand on top of the pot after a watering. let the medium dry before hand, if u want add some dematiaceous earth on top for the larvae.

Anyone using diatomaceous earth please be careful. I would mix it into my soil. It can be sprinkled on plants and soil but is bad for the lungs. Breathing de can kill you from serious lung infection. Wear a dust mask.

Used captain jack's deadbug brew in my nutrient solution and my plant's leaves took a lot of damage. Dark spots and burning on all of them, probably raised the pH too much.

Diatomaceous Earth is what you seek. You can mix food-grade DE with juice or water also for bone, teeth, skin, hair health.

I get gnats and they slow growth and do to the lower leafs what yours shows. I use gnatrol a natural soil bacteria you can use through harvest but my blooming plants don't get hit much by the gnats because the soil is rarely moist on the top inch . My veg room got em pretty bad this time and the gnatrol has them down but not out(in the past it worked 100%). I still have a few but no new damage so im going to add nematodes. Would use the gnat nix type recyled glass if it was free or i had very few plants.
Oh yeah and sticky traps for the adults. I will try the diatom earth in my next soil mix.
