haha and ya thats what i figured... i was like "it has 2 1/2 weeks to create a well enough pollen sack to burst on them" and i cut in 2 weeks or so... ill just get rid of the bigger ones i see...

c'mon Fdd. if the herms showed up as a result of environmental stress rather than genetics you can pick off the male parts befor they pollenate the rest of the plant. if it's genetics, he's right, there's nothing really to do. just let it finish. whatever seeds show up will either be hermie or feminized... but you're right bad dog... seeds won't be viable with only a couple weeks to develop.

be careful when your plucking them off also. . they split pretty easy and can polinate the rest of the crop. . i had a bubba kush clone turn hermi due to bad conditions. . i isolated it from the rest because i didnt have the heart to get rid of it since it was budding nicely at the time. . it clearly changed its energy from producing bud to probaby trying to produce seeds though. .

I would just get rid of them completly clean out the space and start fresh. Unless you wanna start screwing around with cross breeding. Please believe..its a dead issue...I hate to be the bearer of bad news but..its not even worth the time.

they showed up 2 weeks before being finished.. it doesnt matter alot of reservoir seeds have late hermy traits, its from back crosses... *sigh*

i light stressed a plant into herm status a few months back. i picked off a shitload of balls after i corrected the light problem. I wasn't 100% successful but i got rid of alot of them. none of the plants around the hermi really got any pollen on them. the hermi only produced 30 or 40 seeds... on a fairly large plant (veged for 8 weeks) i considered it a success.

I pluck them to a certain extent, you might want to just let the plant seed itself. There may be too many to stop them from opening and pollinating your plants.

As FDD said, it will not change the genetics... but from my point of view it may help you keep more sensimillia by reducing the number of hermie flowers.

I dont put any faith in all the stress bullshit,people say stress causes all kinds of stuff but most likely stress is blamed for everything that is unexplained,especially hermies,i'd bet the hermies are a genetic traight the strain has where they pop in late bud,its not that bid a deal even if they release before you catch them.

I spent a year with a strain of big bud that would pop hermies all over in late bud cycle,i would just spray mist them heavily twice a day using a weak solution of water mixed with standard off the shelf 3% peroxide from rite aid,i soak the shit out of the buds then make sure heavy air blows on them & ive never had a problem with left over pollen contaminating my other strains in the same room.

i had one grow banannas late in flower they come right off i dried them crushed and applied to a flowering plant and no go on the pollen..its just a matter of choich that late in flowering..JMHO
