Fuzzy Roots

I was curious to know about how the root structures differ in hyrdro, aero, fog etc. I posted a picture of some of my roots comming through and just wanted to know if there is any difference in the way the roots grow with different set ups.

Trichomes on plants are epidermal outgrowths of all kinds. Emergencies or spines terms refer to growth that involve more than the epidermis. This distinction is not always easy to apply.

seriously high ...... has nothing to do with the subject at hand.

the fuzzy on the roots are not trichomes (not even sure where that came from ....), they are there to gather air (O2) and moisture. there are different root branchings that do different things in hydro or soil. this is why using a clone that has been in hydro too long won't work in soil, it's roots grew out for a hydro medium. there are some differences in how the roots react to different setups, but in general, once they hit the standard water level, the fuzz dissapears as the roots focus on H2O/nute uptake instead of O2 exchange.

This reminds me alittle of epigenetics, once the plant has been grown a certain way for some time, the genes it has turned on represent it's current form and moving it do a different grow setup would force it to express previous genes. Anyways, that answered my question about the root hairs, thanks all. My pic is from a real aero set up.
