the ambient light from the veg room is all i use to get my clones going. some old school dude way back told me they will root faster if they aren't trying to deal with direct light. i was having problems before with domes,ect but not since then. my temps stay in the upper 70's and i have been more than 80% successful in my clones living. i only use a rooting hormone in water to start my clones. if they aren't going to veg right away I stay with the hormone if they are then i use a tiny bit of veg nutes per qt of water when water them.
you really don't need to feed the clone, just stimulate root growth imo.I have a very similar situation going on right now, but am using a dome. It might work w/o a dome if you manage to keep your leaves wet. From what I've read, the only way a clone can feed is threw its leaves since it has no roots yet. Hope it works out for ya
