well this is my first hydro grow, so i will let u kno about wat u were wondering i know that right now im having to feed her like a soil plant in a 12 ounce cup! LOL. shes drinking a gallon or 2 a day right now. im waiting to open up some room in the closet. ill post sum piks of this girl wen r lights on.Bravo on the friggin MONSTER you got there bro!
Question tho'... i've heard some crazy stories about plants toward the end of flowering that have such a large root network that they can drink a 5 gal bucket dry once or twice a day?!
Is there a point where this gets to be too much of a problem or does it just have to be worked with?
I guess what i'm asking is.. it seems that the total volume that a huge rootball would take up could possibly be most of the bottom half of the bucket... now would you then fill the water up to say a couple inches more, maybe above the bottom of the netpot to compensate or just keep filling to the same spot?
Also is there ever a point that one would say nip off some of the roots to prevent them getting so big or never?
Judging from what i see there fuzz, i'd def say get the 5 gal. i got the black bucket from a local shop with rest of the kit u got. The guy there was tellin me that from his experience, i would DEF. need a 5 gal if ur talkin a veg time as long as ur's.
I defidently can't wait to see how big she's gonna get in flowerin'.... i'm bout to start mine in about a wk so i'll keep my eye on this to see what i can expect (i'll be using humbolt's organic master a and b with sugar daddy i think). Keep it up!
