G-13, and Afgooey DWC Any Tips Appreciated

I have a complete diy setup (just waiting on my 400w mh/hps w/cooltube). Heres the run down of equip.
1 10 gallon storage bin wrapped in aluminum tape
water pump with two flow lines
10 inch airstone and 80 gallon air pump
4x 26 watt cfls
16inx21inx36in tent for mothers only.

I have 1 afgooey clone and 1 g-13 clone. both bought from a dispensary so i hope they are true. the were in rockwool cubes with roots at the bottom so i placed them above a light layer of hydrton in my net pot and then covered the rest of the cube. is this the right way?
The air stone is gonna run 24/7 if i got it right. But as for the drip, its more of a flow than a drip but do i keep it running 24/7 with the rockwool in there? i i peeked at the roots a while ago and they some what seem to be moving towards the water. someone help me please and thanks

So far it sounds like you have everything in order. I kept my feeding tube running 24/7 and it also was a slight flow instead of a drip. Just make sure you remove the feeding pump after a good amount of the roots are in the water.

Bro the only suggestion i have fort you is to be real carefull about overwatering your rockwool at this point. Top feeder tubes are not necessary in deep water culture as long as the rock that u set the wool down on is kept moist by your air bubbles that should be plenty sufficient enuff water to help promote root growth down into the reservoir and food supply. Most growers i know that grow with rockwool only water thier wool with about a tablesppon of water a day so just think about it.. Top feeding is gonna saturate the plants if left to do so and from what i gather is one of the major problems i see alot of people dealing with in DWC. Be carefull of overwatering ur wool and stunting the growth of ur clones. Otherwise the rest sounds good and im Skribed.

Wow earlier today i barely saw any action as to root growth but that was around 9 this morning and it is 8:15 ish and they have banged out quite a bit. All i did was turn the flow on em for a couple hours on and off, not conclusive but it seems that that helps. Sorry but i dont know what way to go with the hours of operation on the top feed, both answers are appreciated but which is more correct? No off to either.

So went out today and bought 2- 18 gallon storage bin (5 bucks each)
they are not that dark of a blue so i will cover those with alum tape as well? I cut holes at the bottem so i can use tubing to connect the tubs together as i also wish to have a remote res, just to make it easier to treat my water. I used the spout to the 2.5 gallon water jugs cut to cap and silicone to seal them. For net pots I used some my soil planters and drilled tons of hole. still gotta finish 2. I'm going to be running 3 plants in each tub. Will post pics in a few...
I want to build my grow tent around my tubs so the exact size will be 51"x20" so i guess round it out to 4x2?
The light will be 27" long and looks like cool tube reflector will be 10" wide so i think the light will be perfect for such small quarters.
I am going to also be getting an inline fan to pull the heat and possibly the smell out the room through ducting or tubing. I live on the top floor with no windows of other units within 50 feet. Any ideas on how to set that up and how to get around not having to buy an expansive scrubber?

The one on the left is the g-13, the other is the a-gooey. The pics with the tubs are to show how they will go side/side the long way in the new tent. they will have about 3 inches on each side of the tent i believe. And that is my handy water stopper i will silicone tubing to it, and those are my homemade net pots!

Good stuff I've heard a lot about the Afgooey seen a real nice one too be interesting to see in dwc tho. Skribed. And if it was me id only let that top sprayer come on for 10 seconds a day if u have to lol. Once the roots hit the water u won't need it anymore anyway. Turn it off alltogether ur roots will find the water faster.. mine take about a day to get to the water slower rooting beans take about two days. Well good luck man and skribed.

Good news today and bad news, just dont know what out weighs the other. My light has been ordered, Should be within my possesion in about a week. Yay!!! The prob is that there is no cool tube due to misunderstanding and haste. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270743020170. This is the link to the light for specs. I did some forum searching and found some suggest to place a fan blowing toward the light and the exhaust (which i assume i still want a inline connected to ducting as the exaust?) And i should be able to have some type of heat control. What do you think? My tent is going to be 4x2x5. Its location is my closet. Am I screwed or can i make this work?

Supz patron. Theres some really decent ways to make your own carbon filter in the DIY section of the forums. Good shiz in there and most are pretty simple to make. Gratz on the fixing your light issue! I'm sub'd up and rockin with ya. Keep em comin and happy growing!

Wow got my tent rebuilt to fit my light that should be here tomorrow. The main part is 53"x21"x3'. This time i had a lot of extra wood so i made a attic kinda for my light to fit. I felt better to do this because my buckets are 15" tall, the light would need at least 8", which would leave only 13" for plant space. But now i will be able to place screen to hold plants down anywhere within 3' feet and still maintain safe distance from light. When u look at the pics it will make sense. Any ideas on where to put the screen?
I scraped those water spouts and got liquid tight flexible condiut from lowes for like 3 bucks each so i dont have to worry about leaks when I'm not home. As for my girls i think they look good, kinda wonderin about the afgoo though. Ill figure out how to label that pic. Its like the leaves are losing color. Any help?

A buddy gave me a w.w. that he was gonna trash. He cut almost all the leaves off to try to make it branch out, but he didnt wanna put the plant in a bigger pot (its already out grown the current one). So my q is can i cut the main stalk in two or 2 and root each? anyone ever do this before?

Supz patron. Just wanted to make sure they were gettin fed ;) Hope they perked up for you. If nothing else, try going a little lighter on the nutez to see how they respond. If their shade of green darkens and some of the yellowing goes away then that may have been the issue. Keep us posted. Happy growing

Well, my lights came in but.... the freakin cooltube is broken (luckily during shipping) so until the claim gets processed im still runnin my cfls. I added 4 23 watters today. The ww i got from my buddy is starting to fluff back up slowly. I transplanted into coco in a hawaiian punch bottle. I took 2 cutting from the afgooey and the g13, placed em in rockwool then into the tent with the other plants. Hopefully they will take any special treatment needed for those?

The clones should root in a week or so patron. That seems to be the usual waiting period to see if the clones you took will actually LIVE. Just be careful not to overwater them. They like higher humidity as well. Good luck and happy growing ;)

About how much should i water them? Is about a tsp a day too much the cube is moist not wet. My digital thermometer broke too gotta get a new one today so i currently dont know the r/h. I believe i once read that the clones should droop the first day or so and then pick back up. is this an early sign of possible succes?
