why is is that a few bad apples can spoil the entire bunch....Can you say no more 420 fest

I was there, gunshots went off close and we had to move or get trampled, very scary situation indeed. It's sad to see a couple gang banger losers ruin it for the rest of us. Been going to these peaceful rally's for freedom for many, many years. Long before they played nothing but rap music, what happened to music that promotes peace and not violence? I bet our city will hold this against all of us and all the hard work we've put in over the years to get it legalized. Great way to make us all look bad with your gang banging bullshit

Update below: For months, anticipation has built toward this year's 4/20 Rally at Civic Center Park, touted as a mix of pot, hip hop and serious politics to be witnessed by locals and visitors from all over the country.Yet the positive nature of the event was countered by a shooting after the clock struck 4:20 in which three people were injured.
Details, photos and a videos from a variety of sources below.
The basics: Just after 5 p.m., shots rang out in the park during a performance by hip-hop act Lil' Flip, causing the enormous crowd, estimated in the tens of thousands, to scatter. In the end, three people were wounded: Two were hit in the leg, while a third person was grazed by a bullet.

Marijuana activist Timothy Tipton, who was scheduled to deliver the closing speech for day one of the rally at around 5:25 p.m., shared some observations via e-mail. He notes that he was preparing for his remarks when he heard a "rapid-fire burst of about twelve to fourteen shots" from "just over the wall, in front of the library."The gunfire caused the audience to run forward, knocking over two rows of security fencing as he took refuge behind a speaker column and yelled for calm and respect, h;e continues.
Afterward, he observed the emptied area "strewn with clothes, belongings, shoes, T-shirts and heard reports about gang members flashing signs before the shooting and attendees with post-traumatic stress disorder suffering attacks. The irony struck him hard, since only moments earlier, marijuana attorney Rob Corry had been "singing his praises as evidence of a PEACEFUL EVENT!"

what makes you think it was a "gang banger" that did this? do you have facts that this was caused by gang bangers or is this that was something that the media started and you're now running with it?

says who, you? so you actually seen these people (blacks) holding/showing their fingers all funky to each other, draw out guns and start shooting only to shoot innocent bystanders in the leg and graze them? not to mention, how many people there, and once again, 3 people get hit? sounds like some white boys, trying to play the role, would manage to only shoot 3 people where thousands of people in very close proximity would do? or could it be a political stunt that was pulled to show if you keep allowing the legalization of pot this would and could be the outcome?

Denver police told KDVR.com that one of the suspects is a black male, about 6 feet tall and weighing about 180 pounds. He was reportedly wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and a Carolina baseball hat.
The second suspect was described by police as a black male who was wearing a black and white-checkered shirt, the station reported.

lol. so once again, do you or even these cops have any evidence other than you and whoever made up this story, words? what does these black males specifically look like? oh that's right, 6ft tall, gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants and a baseball bat. i guess he was swinging his bat while letting off on a very close crowd of 1000's of innocent bystanders, which explains why he only shot 2 people in the leg while only grazing another. oh i get it, because they said or suspected black people being there, it just had to be them.
common sense tells me that something doesn't sound right about your story, hence the reason why there's no one really participating besides me and you. i take it you got something against black people in particular, is it safe to say so?

The best way to curb violence at cannabis festivals is to stop having rap acts. Violence is all too common at rap concerts, from all races.

"don't assume shit", lol, that's what i was telling you. from your description, that dude looks nothing like the suspects that was subscribed. and that so called witness, by court standards, isn't even credible. not to mention the fact that the media distort shit (i thought i posted a link showing you this), so unless you were there and seen the assailants, all you are doing is assuming and going be someone else's word, that clearly placed the blame on the most convenient suspect, "the Black Man".

i agree with you, to a certain extent. i am pretty sure violence goes on at all kind of events, whether it be a rap or rock concert, and if what you say is actual fact, there should be no musical acts that the general public listens to.

To be fair, I think canna festivals should be way more selective and careful about the bands they choose for their festivals, from all genres. But let's be honest, you're far more likely to experience some sort of random violence at a rap concert than you are at, say a Flogging Molly concert.

Heh heh.. maybe we should have classical music orchestras. We can all get baked and have tea and call each other "Old chap" and all that.

definetly city boy's or black no offence really but yall city boys don't know how to aim and fire a gun yall point and pull while most white boys in the country know its all about the aim and squeeze one shot one kill. I've killed a few deer and many other small game rabbits squirls you name it I probally killed it and no matter what I hit my mark every time. now a crowd of people I bet my left nut my first rounds hitting the heart second and third are still in center mass. the problem is these punk gangsta's who have no practice with a gun they live in ghetto's can't afford to buy a box of 1,000 rounds of ammo or even get out to fire it off now its not only blacks theirs white's and latin's that never fired guns too and I don't mean pop a few rounds off and run away cause the cops are coming.

but anyway I'll put up 5 white boys against 20 crips and my boys will come out on top. its why you don't see these street gangs touching hells angels, outlaws, not even then stupid aryan gangs cause they will loose.
