Ganja Geeks 6 Strain 2000Watt Perpetual Grow

I set my new 6x6 tent up today. I left the fan mounted to the wall above the window but im just venting into the room. All the flaps on the bottom are open so if I leave them that way that means no hepa-filter. I fired up the 1000 watt and left the window cracked open 2 or 3 inchs for cool fresh air. An hour later I returned to find the temps inside the tent at 89 degrees. Damn! I was hoping I could get away with a passive intake. Im thinking I'll either have to vent out the window again or use a fan to push air into the tent. Shit maybe both. Heres some pics of the setup as of right now. Any adivce?

DAYAM!!!! That thing look Huge! Looks great bro..Where is your intake? Needs to be at floor level. Plus when you get plant in there it will cool down some. Did you let the room cool off before you turned on the light?

Sorry bro just edited that last post. Yeah the tent has 8 flaps at the bottom that stay open at all times. The room stays locked all days so it didnt get any of the houses heat. Im thinking Ill have to add a fan and some ducting for another intake. Plants are tiny clones right now too.

I exhaust into the room to but I leave the door to the room open. I even have the heat vent open. Stays 77-80. It get hotter when the tent door is open. Whats the temp in your house? What cfm is your fan? Too much cfm will not cool as well. I have mine on low 218cfm. Most people think they very fast air speed but at a certain point the air is moving too fast to pick up the heat...

About 80 and I can't leave the door to the room open. I think it's about 300 cfm. That's crazy... to fast to pick up heat! wow... What do you think would be a good cfm rating for my space?

80 in your house? You in Hawaii? Thats the problem. My house is about 68-70...yea its called thermal dynamics, I think lol. Just like a carbon filter it the air flows through the filter too fast the carbon doesnt have time to catch the smell....same with heat. Thats why filters have two ratings. One for exhaust and one for scrubbing. Make sence?

If your house stays at 80 then you can cut a hole in the ceiling and exhaust into the attic. Should stay around 80 in the tent. 300 should be fine. theres a point where its too much. I thought you might have a high cfm. I see some on here with 400 to 600 and cant cool. I dont say anything cause they just think Im nuts...Youngens...lol

Sorry bro I thought about my thermometer and that number popped into my head. LOL my thermometer is in my humidity dome with my clones. Lol Ok I get it but do you know what a good rating for my space would be? If your in a 5x5 shouldn't my extra cfm work? Thanks for the help too man.

oh yea I think the 300 cfm will work fine...I have faith in ya youll get it working! Just keep with it. Im glad to help cause mine kept running to hot. Almost drove me nuts. It happened both times, in the 4x4 600 cab and the 5x5 tent 1000. When you get plants in there that will help to. Only other thing I see is it looks tight in there. Not much free air or space...my 5x5 is in a 12x12 room. I posted about it in my thread when I got the tent.

It's a 12x10 room with a 6x6 tent so ya it's a little tight. lol I think my only option is my old window venting method. Which sucks cause that means the only reason I'm using a tent is for the reflective material. Well at least untill I move it to my new rental.

By the looks of your 1000 watt light, I have the same one. I leave my glass on it since I have the 6" exhaust fan hooked to it and to a carbon filter. I took the glass off once, and it got super hot in my room. It seems easier to control with a thermostat if the glass is on.

Yeah I called my light bulb company to ask if I can run the 1000 with the glass on without venting it. They told me that it would get to hot inside the hood with the glass on and it would cause the bulb to burn out much faster. With my exhaust running non stop my room got to cold so I took the glass off and had my climate controler exhaust when it got to hot in the room. Worked perfectly! But I dont see how to hook a filter up to this system without having two exhaust ducts. Which is something I'll have to figure out at my new place.

Sweet thanks hope it helped ya or entertained at least. Sorry for taking so long to get a conclusion everybody! I am a stoner after all LOL! The SLH got me 3 oz's of top shelf dence nugs. Ill write up some smoke reports this weekend.

High Description: This smoke let's you know you're high pretty fast. It's a bit racy at frist but slowly mellows out into a relaxing stone. Very thought provoking. It's hard to concentrate on one thing while high on this herb.

FINAL COMMENTS: This strain did very well outdoors but didn't shine indoors. It branched wildly creating all most all fluff. The only buds worth trimming were the tops that got the most light. It did produce more resin then the outdoor but with no added bag appeal. It would grow way better if pruned and trained correctly. Chalk this one up to grower error.

COMMENTS: This bud has an earthy dank smell to it. It's hard for me to put my finger on it's flavor. I guess it's just a bland normal weed taste. Not at all what I expected. She smelt so amazing during flowering that it's sad to see the final bud. Only had one seed so there could be better pheno types.
