Ganjalist 1st time Grow:- Skunk Hybrids - Soil

Hi guys, well here goes nothing. My first grow, please feel free to give advice.

1) Grow area is 4' wide x 4' high x 3' wide.
2) Using 4 23W CFL (6500K), and one 23W 2700K 1200 lumens. making a total of 8,200 lumens.
3) One fan 180CFM.
4) Soil used is pro-mix with some good river soil along with a little bit of sand.
5)Foil until I find some mylar to buy around these areas.

So far I have a bunch of skunk hybrids which I got from good stuff I purchased. I started two weeks ago, and the oldest seedling I have since germination is 10 days old today.

i am no expert, but learning more all the time - looks good so far - foil not a great long term solution, but it sounds like you know that.. more light, more bud (but mind the heat issues) if you are going cfl all the way then get more, they are cheap and will be worth it - HPS is worth the investment though.

Thanks m8, trying to get my hands on some mylar, foil does heat up.

Here are some shots of the other plants..

A Sativa Clone: 4days since cloning, and today her leafs stood up straight, no more droopiness and I transplanted her right away. If you look closely you can see that only one of her leaves turned yellow and wilted.

Hey dude, just some pro-mix with some good old soil close to a river that got a lot of decayed wood and coconut husk, and a lil bit of sand also. Soil is pretty fertile too, a noob mix if you ask me, but so far its doing the job.

Hi guys, well first things to start, I decided to get to work and did some modifications to my bum ass grow room. Tell me what you think, and of course I am always down for suggestions from those who know better, so if you see me doing something retarded, please pull me up..

Its been 5 days, and these badboys are looking good I think, I still need to get a ph tester. Seems like since I see em everyday I didn't notice how much they grew until watching the pics today and comparing them with those from 5 days ago. They seem to be growing great and liking the conditions where I have em.

I transplanted all of the seedlings as well as the clone to white styrofoam cups 2 days ago. And I also transplanted some of the bigger guys to bigger pots. I have a total of 7-23W 6500k CFL bulbs under a metal hood I designed, so far it seems to be doing a great job.














As usual thanks to all and the useful information on here that is definitely been nothing short of great!

Hi guys, just a minor update, I swear these little guys are growing very nicely and fast as well. I really would like some feedback as to these plants and if any of you can identify a strain/ hybrid or cross from the pics. Thanks dudes. I transplanted all the little guys yesterday, so here are the results.

Here is my oldest plant at 3weeks of age... Anyone know what strain or hybrid it looks like?

Another of my favorites, is this Jamaican skunk/?? Anyone find this guy looks familiar? I would like some feedback from some professionals as to possible strain.

I have 2 of those above. At this point, this is my first grow, and I am growing from seeds from herb that i purchased. Thanks for checking out my little grow journal, I know I am far from the big guns, but soon enough I will be there after some more grows.

All suggestions, comments and advice are welcome, please do comment.

One question I hope someone can answer, sometimes it takes so long just to get a response even if you get one. I guess everyone must be too stoned to answer sometimes. lol

Anyone think they can identify any of the above strains by pics? thanks I hope I can get at least about 5 respones.

Hi guys well so far its been a blast! I finished transplanting the last mohicans who needed it. My oldest plant (skunk hybrid) being 28days old, which was outdoors for approx 1 week before being put under cfls. So this is 3 weeks under cfls. Btw I have fed them some nutes for the second time 4 days ago.

My second oldest is 24days old, a skunk/light of jah cross. Transplanted him yesterday. Since this is my first grow I am trying different things with my plants. I topped this plant 4 days ago, and I am beginning to LST her along with all the others at this point. I used bat guano, river soil, and pro mix for my pots.

My 400watt hps/ballast should be here before the week is out, all I need now is a good reflector, anyone know of a site that have some good ones please do share a link.

So far I have a total of 9 plants I am believeing that most of them are females, a friend of mine stopped by and he said all are female. I was like I don't think I am that lucky, besides its too early to tell still. After 5 weeks of veg I am gonna put my 2 oldest to start flowering from next week..(boy do I hope they are both girls.) I have one seedling and its an indica strain, not sure which.

Well thats about it for now peoples, any advice and please any links to some high quality reflectors, I really want to get the most out of that 400W HPS. And for you experienced guys out there, I am doing lst to all of my plants, what is the most plants a 400w hps can grow with maximum results? Thanks again peoples

What advice do you want.?? But i have fun and get some grows under your belt. It takes a couple of grows to figure how you grow. Make sure to learn from your mistakes. Read some books on growing MARIJUANA. I grow with AMENDMENT'S with ORGANIC'S. I always try to out do my last grow. I normally don't do dwc or rdwc as much. The cost of nutrients gets expensive. So what is your budget.?? Because you may need and little stronger light. And what are you using (feed). And the strain was a late finisher in my experiences with it.
