im starting to grow, i have a plant right now... its starting to bud, what kind of nutrients would you recommend? i know the bloom nutrients would be good; just dont know what kind is best and a kind thats not too expensive. how much should nutrients should i put in the water? i know im not suppose to put same amount as the bottle says.

for lighting... how many watts would you recommend for 1 plant? im debating on getting another 2 plants how many watts would i need for 3? i heard florescent one of the best lights for a small crop and just starting it out.

what are the best ways to grow a seed without making sure it wont die! teach me the ways! i wanna learn it all.:leaf:

thanks.. if im missing anything, please let me know.

Advanced nutrients big bud & overdrive are good for flower, probably about half strength is the rule of thumb and then work your way up or down if need be...

depends on what light your planning to use? They say 100W per plant? Everybodys got different opinions, as for growing seeds i would defo take a look at jorge cervantes' videos on youtube and maybe get his grow bible...helped me wonders. Peace!

Welcome to RIU, you'll find this a *mostly* helpful site with a lot of information. If you're just starting out you can't go wrong with the BioBizz range, it's cheap and does a good job. I always start out 1/4 strength and work my way up a little bit every feeding until the plant tells me to back off. I prefer Advanced Nutrients myself these days but they tend to be more expensive than most nutes.

For one small plant you would get away with a 250W or 400W. Fluorescent can be used to grow from start to finish but I've never got enough yield to justify using them all the way, I raise seedlings under T5 fluoro's and then move onto the bigger lights. For 3 plants I'd recommend a 600W. With that you will need extraction as they put out quite a bit of heat. A 600W dimmable ballast would be your best bet, think of it as an investment.

As for not killing plants, that's a thing best learned by killing some plants and then learning not to repeat mistakes!

You Tube. TONS of series on it. I prefer Rosenthal's for more and better scientific information but that is a personal choice. Cervantes knows his stuff too.

Good on ya for going and growing and not being afraid to ask. Welcome and +rep for guts for just showing up here. You go, girl.

never bring a plant in from outside it can and most likely bring unwanted bugs into your grow area!
that plant has recovered from the stem snap! and will always have that hump, plants grown indoors do not build a strong stalk so they tip over. You can fix this by putting a strong oscolating fan on them while they are growing this will help them support massive colas and help give them co2 and they love that co2!!!!
I would tie them down when they are in veg stage View attachment 2339922so that the light can penetrate and give you about 10 main colas verses one scotts 012.jpgView attachment 2339925This also gives you less popcorn buds!!!! go to wallwart and get some pipe cleaners A.K.A ''fuzzy-sticks'' in the arts and craft area and make holes in the very top of your container twist in your fuzzystick and carefully bend your veg plant over on its side tie it so the stalk has room to grow!!!! Happy growing if you have any questions -ask away!!
