Garden wire for ScrOG?

As the title says. I've heard that garden wire, even though rubber/plastic coated will cut through plants. How would it work as screen material? and if not, what would you recommend instead?

I wouldnt use metal or even rubbercoated for that matter.

Take pvc make a square use screws to make points to tie string and make the screen out of the screen.

It's pertinent to the OP's question.

TOMATO CAGES - PLANT SUPPORTS
The garden websites and centres want $30 each for 2ft tomato cages.
Are they soldered from palladium by the younger sons of Hungarian Dukes, or something....?

I am interested in buying wire and solder and making my own.

I need advise on what wire/solder to use
or NOT to use.

Any advise is welcome.

Do you have an allergy to punctuation?
Because '..make the screen out of the screen'
means absolutely nothing to me.

and I would quite like to understand what you're suggesting.

I use 4X2 metal fencing available from Tractor Supply, Home Depot, Lowes. Works great and it is cheap, frame could be wood or PVC, or even no frame since this fencing is rigid can hang it from the ceiling.

There is nothing wrong with metal screen, ever noticed lush vegetation covering chain link and other metal and nonmetal fences outdoors?

In my rich gardening experience I noticed that seedlings of all kinds LOVE to grow in metal containers, I used old and sometimes little rusty baking pans, my seedlings thrived in those containers.

He means create a frame from PVC, then mount eyelets by drilling thru both sides of the PVC tube and securing with a nut.
Now take cord and create a mesh by running the string in a pattern of crossed strings creating a mesh with 1 1/2"-2" squares.

Now find a way to put over your plants.
hang it from above, secure it to tent posts with zip ties or
add PVC tees to your square frame at central points and down pipes to the tees pointing down.
vertical pcs with tees on the bottom and feet 6-12" each side of each tee on the floor
its really Very simple.
create 4 feet with legs use a tee at the top to fit it in the square frame.

Any particular cord?
Thickness....Material....?

I know I am asking for tiny details but I've never done any LST, SOG, ScOG, HST, CROP, TOP or FIM.
I'm on FLOWER DAY 14 of my first ever grow and, as yet, I am still a little nervous when wielding the secateurs.
