Ya I read your earlier post, so you already probably saw people debating about the clone/seed thing.LOL. I know what you meant with the clone only thing and I believe that is probably true with the certain pheno. of GDP.

Gotcha. Yeah that whole GDP story rabbit hole was crazy. One phrase that burned itself into my mind while doing my research was " Ken Estes is a lying turd", and I think it is so funny. I don't think negative of the man, I just can't get that phrase out of my head. I had to grab a pack to see for myself.Ya I read your earlier post, so you already probably saw people debating about the clone/seed thing.
Don't let that discourage you at all. What it is, ken I believe lost the male in the orginal cross he used to make gdp so it was only attainable in clone form for a while. He did start making seeds and been releasing gdp for awhile now. What you have is the real thing or pretty damn close. You could find a pheno that's nearly the same as my clone. Other cool thing is you could find some other interesting phenos that are a different and new variety/offshoots of gdp so either way-you win. The pic you posted looks like a nice gdp plant to me. Keep us updated, want to see the finished results.
Ya he's a lying turd. It's Urkle X Big Bud. Ken Estes is not a breeder and never was.
I don't know if Ken ever even did any of that. His Bay 11 Cup win was supposedly just Lonestar's Appalachia renamed. He's told so many stories about the GDP I don't think he even remembers who gave him the cut or the seeds or however he came across it. Either way, it's nice but Urkle is better to me even if it does grow slow as fuck.Ya he's a lying turd.
Who is a breeder? Most are just over glorified pollenchuckers that use others work. Though I read kens form of breeding was just bringing a male plant ouside and shaking the shit out of it near all female plants, not testing qnd then immediately sellimg the seeds. Don't know if that's all true, just what I heard- though wouldn't suprise me.
Word is somewhat witnessed that. Like i said- whos knowsI don't know if Ken ever even did any of that. His Bay 11 Cup win was supposedly just Lonestar's Appalachia renamed. BCBD is mostly garbage. One of the worst about renaming lines and claiming BS stories. Their 'The Big' is Free Leonard (Butterscotch Hawaiian x 88 g13/hp). Some other name game BS they pulled in the late 90s to mid 2000s too but I don't remember exactly and don't feel like researching it. Not to mention no one in that part of the country ever even saw purple weed that wasn't Mazar or Hindu Kush until the early 2000s (and that was packaged buds, not live plants).BC Bud Depot has a strain called the Ultimate Purps that is a GDP heirloom. It originated from SE / Gulf of Mexico landrace, New Orleans.

I know what "bullshit BCBD Ozzy bit the head off a chicken story" means. You can't seriously think all seed company descriptions are true? It's a business that, until very recently, was wholly populated by career criminals. Think about it... Also, without going into too much detail- I was there. I'm not repeating some forum bullshit.Do you know what heirloom means?
Yeah, Heirloom just means that the seed is from the same family as the ones in the vintage catalogs. And the only thing that could possibly even qualify as a "GDP heirloom" is Ken's cut itself. Do YOU know what heirloom means?
Different company but I wouldn't put it past them. I had a big order from BC Bud Depot once (circa 2009/10) full of seeds that wouldn't germinate at all.Bc also sells a $100,000 "perennial something" that supposedly never stops flowering, lives forever and yields pounds in weeks of flower....
No. That's not what it means at all. Heirloom means passed down for generations. For example, a family heirloom....Yeah, Heirloom just means that the seed is from the same family as the ones in the vintage catalogs.
I don't know about a family heirloom. However, an heirloom is a seed that is removed from a bud with a knife and started in a paper towel from a plant that is in the same family as the plants in the vintage catalogs. The seed doesn't have to come from generations of farmers.No. That's not what it means at all. Heirloom means passed down for generations. For example, a family heirloom....
