GE LUCALOX...Quick question

Ok so I just bought a 250w GE Lucalox. Prior to the GE bulb i Was using a "2000k" Generic HPS bulb, which vame with the light/ballast.
The older bulb had a lot more "yellow" to it, where as the GE looks more like a MH color (much lighter yellow, more towards white).
My question is, did I buy the wrong GE bulb? I thought it was a pretty good option for low $$$.

no you have not bought the wrong bulb. I have used the GE lucalox HPS but 400w and i had the same worries because of its whiter color, but it regularly grew me great buds, look at the color rated in K to know what its right color is. it should be close to 3000K, let us know the outcome...

Pretty sure this is 2100k, though it doesn't look it.

Great lamp just has the blue's added to it for the horticultural name tag...will do awesome has extended wavelength..added 440 nm and the blue's associated with mh's great choice!!! Don't secound guess yourself my brother...even non horticultural lamps work so good you would have a hard time telling which is which on a side by side grow as they both are more than adaquate...wishing you the best on your grow my friend! jack...same bulb 1000 watt's 3-4 week's from finish!! worth the wait!! To be honest, i DID notice a jump in production with the Lucalox. As mentioned, the original bulb was a generic and very yellow. The Lucalox has been much better. i noticed my Buds fatten right up in the week following the bulb switch.
