general grow advice

I'm starting from the bottom for sure. I'm working with a few strains from different breeders, special queen (of course from royal queen), cookies kush (Barneys) I also have a auto from canuk. The auto is my main concern at the moment. As the other strains are a bit more simple.
From what I understand being wrong or right, a auto is suggested to start in the container it's going to finish in which is simple enough. I do have their suggested 3-5 gal pots but what I'm wondering is if I were to use a one or one n half gallons pot would it present any dangers to its health? I'm not concerned with necessarily with having the biggest and best auto in the world. I just mainly wondering from who has more experience with autos.. I would rather it be one inch than blown over, or dehydrated due to my own negatives. Lol.. :wall: any advice is greatly appreciated. Although the auto was a "freebie" I'm guessing it should be tried.. but also this could clear by perception up for the autos I plan to get when my resources get their "mix" back in stock and cull my curiosity. I'm confused by a lot of things in your post but mostly from what's highlighted. Do you mean you want the plant to be smaller rather than larger? Either way though if you don't care about the health then yea, go ahead, throw it in a one gallon pot. It will grow, whether it will grow well is the question.

Also when do y'all usually sprout your photo periods? It's nice weather here and my peppers just died mid January. Time changes here mid March.

I'm meaning simply I've seen so many pictures online of autos in everything from 2 liter coke bottles to 10 gal drums. Of course I'm not wanting to "root bound the plant" or disregard its health by anything small or large. If it's growing in a dump truck I couldn't bring it inside out of periodic harsh weather. Lol also I'm bein sarcastic, not a ass lol.. thank you for your time.

Fast Autos will grow well in 1gallon container.A smaller container will limit their size ofc.But ya perfectly healthy.

Idt it would hinder it all that much imo. Your yield will probably be a bit smaller but it's an auto, the difference will be insignificant in the grand scheme of things. So I say if you don't care, go for it
