that is about were my temps stay at my canopy. What I don't have though is a light meter. Is a light meter something that will be needed for better growing to make sure the light is the right distance or what ever you need it for?
For me a light meter is 2nd in importance right behind ph metering,it helped me understand how light fades at distance because the meter picks up very slight increments that my eyes cant see.
When i 1st got my meter i used the shit out of it testing differences in light penetration with all the different wattage lights, the meter showed me alot of shit i would have never seen, seeing with your own eyes just how much difference a quarter inch can make is something all growers should be able to do,with a meter they can.
For the record my light meter showed me that for my grow style 600's gave better penetration over the 1,000's i was running, after switching to the smaller lights is when i started getting well over a gram per watt due to the decrease in distance from the light.
All my testing is done but i still use the meter every grow, mainly for adjusting buds, branches & fan leaves,i use the meter by holding it near the bud branch in question then i move the meter around the general area to be sure all branches are in the best possible location, sometimes moving a branch a half inch to one side can double the light intensity that branch will recieve.
You should be able to pick up a cheap hydrofarm model at your grow shop for a $20 spot & its well worth the investment & then some.
