The chemical still has the edge on growth and flower development, but the organic plant appears healthy as well. Still has a while to go, but I'm looking forward to seeing if there is a noticeable difference in the flavor of the harvest.

I've seen organic hydroponics set ups, so it can be done. Seems it would be problematic, tho. Pumps, lines, sprayers clogging. The smell. Unwanted critters. Poor control over consistency in nutrients.

In organics the nutrients need converted to a form the plants can uptake and use, while synthetic hydroponic nutes are already in that form. In both cases the plants are uptaking the same thing.

Yields in organics are smaller, but in the end its all good. As far as taste, Its about genetics and cure.

I agree that you usually don't want to run organics through a pump if you can avoid it, same goes with sprayers. So far the best results I've seen with organics are in passive to semi passive systems. The drip ring of the organics seems to clog up a little bit more, but not terribly so.

In my last grow (coco in smart pots), I fed two plants chem (5 mg calmag, 7 mg micro, 15 mg bloom) and 6 plants GO per box label. The two chem plants grew faster but looked much less healthy at the end of the grow. I also had to flush the chem plants twice while I never flushed the GO plants. The yield was about the same on all the plants. I was too lazy to segregate the bud by fert type but my son kept a couple nugs separated. I mostly vape and make edibles but my son likes the bong and rillos. He said the organic bud was more potent and tasted a little better but it was nothing scientific. I will say he expected the chem plants to "win" all along and was surprised by the results.

I'm just running GO in my current grow, mainly because I don't have to flush them.

Pretty sure that the General Hydroponic Flora is going to show a substantial lead in harvest size.
