Idk if this sounds dumb but, can flowering plants have a growth spurt late in flower ? All plants 3.6 months old. They were getting frosty you know looking good. Looking as if they were close to harvest but recently they’ve been letting out a lot of those white hairs and forming more bud material any explanation? Do weed plants just do this or is there something weird going on? Plants are autoflower thanks

Yes, some plants shoot more pistils late in life, there are also some environmental factors that can cause foxtails to develop, like heat stress.

Still learning with autos here but I've noticed the same thing. I've got an auto caramelicious that is doing the same thing. She should have been done today, but still putting out white pistils

I recently have moved to a hotter climate than I originally was, temps are constant 72F-81F would that cause heat stress

I don't think that is too hot, is your light at a good height, as well? It may be genetic

I think this is what happened with my autos, too. Seeds popped up Jan.11; it’s now March 28th and they should’ve finished up or be finalizing now (I’d think) but they look closer to like 3-4 weeks into flower.
Could’ve been the switch from less-sunlit greenhouse w/supplemental lights, to full-sun greenhouse with an LED shining from under for 18 hrs, a couple weeks ago...
The hairs seemed to get extra perky and possibly grow more.

So definitely seeing a pattern must be an auto thing.
