The point is not to bend the leaves. The point is to bend the stem and new shoots. I don't mean to be rude my friend but you should probably do a little more research before the experimentation.

My suggestion is to leave that girl alone and watch her grow naturally. My first mistake as a new grower was screwing with the plant every day expecting to see instant results.

Let her be and let gift some glorious buds to you.
