General startup questions

Just set up a 32x32” topogrow tent with 600w led.

Have adopted a 15” plant clone, it is nicely branched with 3 main shoots trained outward looking good and happy under the new light. It’s about 4-5 weeks old.

Questions

The LED light I have has two switches with each seemingly doubling the light strength. Do I need to use all 600w for a single plant or what I presume to be 300w be enough?

How often should I water/ feed? Am using Bonanicare Pure Grow for the growth stage.

Suggestions for flowering stage nute

Am starting seeds but thinking I will take a clone or 2 from this plant. When should I take clones? Is it too late to clone after harvesting ? Hopefully harvesting...

Many thanks, trying to feel my way thru my first attempt.

not knowing a lot about led's but a lot of them , have a switch for veg & both on for bloom , google your brand,

as for watering & feeding you'll get hundreds of idea's on that 1

You can not clone after flp, other wise the clones will want to flower, a week before flip is the general rule

good luck

Well medium controls your water feed schedule.

Whatever nute you choose feed it light, those schedules on bottles promote overnuting. You will have problems and deficiencies feeding it full strenghth... i say half as a typical max. I use 1/4 strenght but im in coco using an almost hydrponic setup with it so its always available.

I use Jacks, an inexpensive complete powdered nute. Used to use heavy 16, good stuff but the suppliments are pricey and the schedule overfeeds them... i like jacks as suppliments arent needed as they didnt forget to put the micronutes in the base like pricey nute lines...just cuz its expensive doesnt necessarily make it better

Clone now. Take 2-or 3 of you can, VEG the plant for a few weeks while the clones take root.
Im going to go out on a limb here...... the LED light you have, while saying "600w", sorta of a misnomer. The diodes have the theoretical capability of consuming 600w, but unlikely the power supply inside is providing sufficient current to achieve such wattage. Just run with both switches on, as long as you can keep the temps in check..... The light can grow a good plant.
IMO.

You can and should clone after flipping. Monstercropping .

if that's so why has evry clone ive ever tried after flip has gone strait to flower but anything before has done whats its suppose to , there is a chemical reaction within the plant, that changes the whole mechanics of the plant , if you want a clone to grow on , ow can u expect it to do so after flip , please explain
Greedy fly as I understand it wants to continue with the strain he has , not sum 4 inch clone that wants to flower

Its absolutely possible to clone off a flowering plant. Its not for beginners, but you can reveg. I believe it raises the the odds of herm potiental, but possible none the less.

Ok im not going to dispute that , but for a newbie , who has a basic question , cant we simplify , it a bit for him ?

What your talking about is for experienced growers , who have the setup to handle such a thing

But I take your point

Thanks, i’ll Try to clone now, done it with flower and shrub cutting years ago.

Tent getting up to 85-86 degrees. 45 pct humidity, maybe I’ll try turning off half light til I Force blooming. I’d like to produce something but being my first plant, it’s trial and hopefully not error.

May produce less than 600w. But it’s in a 32x32” tent, hope that compensates for less than advertised light. Tent temps running 85-86 F, worried about high heat in growth stage, another reason to possibly switch off half of light power.
