Genetics? Or is it me

Blueberry freebie from seedsman was planted on 1/2/2022 in FFOF with added perlite in solo cup.
light is HLG qb 135 v2 rspec 24” above top of plant.
Humidity is between 50-65%
Temps 78-81°F
Watered with room temp tap water (weight of cup before watering 7 1/4oz, after watering 10 1/8oz if it means anything)

plant looks like it’s kind of curling like it’s anchored down. And on the last pic it’s got some yellowing on the first tri set of leaves. Is it the FFOF being hot? Over / under watering?

It ran out of beer cup

looks like it's overwatered. very turgescent and maybe the soil is hot like you said

If you planted that seed 2 weeks ago and have that much growth already it probably needs potting up.
Easy on the water.

Took this advice here’s the root pic. Noticing some of the roots toward the surface of soil are a little brown. Normal? Or is something up

She's going to be fine. Treat her right and havest WHEN SHE IS READY, not when it hits the listed harvest time on any website.

yep. after that up pot, it shouldnt be touched for at least 5 days or more

I know you said you add perlite to the mix, which is good but I want to know does it hold as much water as it appears to?
In your first set of pics it looked like it was possibly sad due to moisture retention as well and transplanting into more dank soil won't fix the problem.

I‘m not sure I’d say it really holds water excessively. Without having my journal with me I’d say it gets water every 4-5 days. When I started the soil in the cup it was pretty hydrophobic so I was worried about not watering thoroughly enough. Now when it’s watered it gets about 1/3 soil volume.
When I got home and checked the plant the cup was very light so I watered it slowly before trying to transplant. I was afraid the root ball wasn’t gonna be established enough to bind all the dry dirt to transplant.
The root pic was less than 1/2 hour after watering. That being said I’m sure I was over watering before to saturate the soil.

try giving enough for 1-2 days maximum. 5 days between waterings is too much. You'll get there it looks good still

FFOF is considered a hot mix for seedlings and fresh rooted clones which could've burned your babies. I personally use a product from Soil King called Baby Rootz. It has a gentle dose of nutes for seedlings and an abundance "fine" perlite which really helps with faster dry backs = faster roots devlopment & plant growth. I use this soil until I transplant out of a solo cup sized container.
