A neighbour dispute in a small German town turned bloody after one man attacked another with a weed whacker.
The English-language newspaper The Local in Germany reports the two men have been locked in a bitter feud for 20 years. They live in the small community of Grasellenbach, about 80 kms south of Franfurt. On Wednesday, one neighbour, 66, decided to use the weed whacker to trim a part of his lawn.
But the noise disturbed the second man, 63, who took a bucket of water and poured it over the 66-year-old.
"Unwilling to tolerate this outrage, the drenched man took to drastic measures," police said in a statement. "Armed with his trimmer, the 63-year-old attacked the other Grasellenbach resident and caused multiple injuries below the waist some of which were severe."
The wife of the 63-year-old broke up the fight. The injured man was taken to hospital where he had multiple flesh wounds and severe damage to his knees, the newspaper reported.
