Germany just abolished college tuition fees (even for international students)

They want to get us over there and make us more dummerer.

Too late. Kaiser Wilhelm's Prussian school system was imported to the USA in the mid 1800s and has done a fantastic job of dumbing people down and making good cannon fodder as well.

Public schools are intended not to teach how to think, they are intended to teach what to think.

I am against the use of force to fund things.
How do you fund things without the use of force?

Why should I pay taxes if I don't have to?

If I don't have to, how do things like roads be built?

You have to admit the society in which we would live in without taxation would be substantially less beneficial to progress and innovation.

Imo, I think your unyielding view of "no force" is very detrimental to society at large. Without it, we'd be living in the dark ages.

Taxation is ok as long as it is DIRECT taxation, no borrowing from the future allowed. Also, no income taxation, you own your labor, not some other authority.

Are you against public education?
he's against public education but he never complains when the person at the store who helps him is literate and knows basic math.

he's all for the benefits, but he is a freeloader when it comes to the costs.

he is a parasite. and not the good kind like pinworm.

Lol, said the guy who needs a bullshit scheme to launder and semi legitimise his income.

Haven't you paid no income tax for years?

The freeloader is you, bro.

so i missed out on FICA taxes for a year or two, now i get to pay 15.3% instead of 7.65% for the rest of my life.

i think they'll come out ahead in the end.

Still tho, tax evasion is tax evasion.
While it is a tax, FICA isn't income taxes. It's for social security and Medicare.

  1. Federal Insurance Contributions Act (FICA) tax /ˈfaɪkə/ is a United States federal payroll (or employment) tax imposed on both employees and employers to fund Social Security and Medicare —federal programs that provide benefits for retirees, the disabled, and children of deceased workers.
I wouldn't trust him in regards to numbers or paying income taxes. Do so at your own risk.

That's pretty nice.

Just to play Devil's Advocate though.. Although costs are high in the US, we also attract some of the greatest minds to teach at our schools. I would expect that has in part to do with the offered salaries. I would've paid a lot to attend a course taught by like, Neil deGrasse Tyson.

I could see maybe Community Colleges being free of charge. That'd be nice. Make it so!
Are you serious?

That dude is a mediocre mind in physics. He is famous for one reason. Smartest black man in history.

No, not entirely serious. I could probably pay to attend a lecture if he still gives them. All most people ever see of him is when he is in his 'science communicator' role so yeah, most of that will be review material for many. I have no idea if he's a good teacher or not but since he is quite engaging, I'm going to assume that people other than myself also enjoy listening to him.

But the sentiment remains. I want the very best teachers in the US.

I agree with that point. And Tyson is entertaining.

I'd rather have a class from Lawrence Krause.

Define "progress".
