Germinated Seed has Sunk

Hello everyone,

I recently began germinating a seed using the shot glass method. I dropped it in the water three days ago and about an hour ago it has sunk to the bottom of the shot glass. I've read that this could be either good or bad. It appears that one side of the seed is becoming swollen and is possibly splitting on one side but it is very hard to see. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this before and was it a success when you dropped it in your growing medium.

3 days in a glass of water is way too long imvho..

It will even germ in the shot glass eventually why not plant it in soil now and stop fuckin around with this method and that method

i suggest remove it from the water then put it in paper towel, wait 2 days and if it hasn't cracked. force crack it by gently squeezing it till you hear a pop (do this as a last resort)
