Ive got some afghani kush seeds and I put them in shot glasses to germinate. After a full 24 hours in the dark close to my heater they still have not sprouted...i transferred them to the paper towel method because I heard longer than 24 hours is bad for it. Did I do something wrong? They sank to the bottom after i swirled my finger around in it to see if there were any air bubbles...

please help.

I put them back in the water where it was warmer by the heater. In the paper towel it seemed to make them more cold. Ill check them in the morning and hope for the best. Thanks so much frmrboi. Ill look to you for help in the future.

noooo dude take them out of the water. they are in the water to soak and become soft so the root can get started and break through the shell. they fell to the bottom of the glass because water had successfully penetrated the shell into the root beginning which is what you want. warmth is good but dont worry it about it as much as you need to be concerned with keeping the paper towel moist. they should pop in a few days if you keep the towel wet, in a dark area, and a comfortable room temp.

I've had seeds that took 10 days to sprout. Put them in between the paper towels and wet it. pack it or compress slightly. Not to much. Leave in a dark place and re water occasionaly

I like my paper towels to dry out slightly before I water them again. The roots stretch to find moisture. Its so much easier to pot a seed and get it to grow when your working with a seed that has a 1 inch root sticking out of it.
