Germinating in dark or under light?

Sup guys!
I just put the seeds in soil, should I put it in the dark or under light? If under lights is it ok to keep it 24 hours for 3-4 days?

Help would be appreciate it.

Yeah I saw a botanist say that the lights should be on 24 hours a day until all seeds have popped then switch to a 20/4 or 18/6

I'll keep the lights on for 24 hours for a few days.
How about the temperature and humidity for germination seed?
Right now the temp is between 70-76. Humidity between 50-60%.
