Germinating my seedlings. Pics need some advice. Thanks

MY BABIES ARE 10 DAYS OLD AND 2 OF THEM BECAME SLIGHT YELLOW AS YOU SEE IN THE PIC. I FORGOT IF THIS IS FROM OVER WATERING OR DEHYDRATION? I AM GIVING THEM 18/6 FOR THE PAST 10 DAYS. SHOULD I LEAVE IT THE WAY IT IS OR CHANGE IT TO 24/0 FOR THE NEXT 5 DAYS OR SO ?

I think they look ok, keep 'em going!

Maybe cut back on the number of lights until they get a bit bigger.

They look fine to me and not too small for 10 days. Remember you have to be quite patient if you're growing from seed as opposed to growing clones. Have you made holes in the bottom of the coffee cups for drainage?

They look OK for this stage in developement. I prefer 18 hours of light because I don't like to waste electricity and there is no proof 24 hours gives more growth. But running 24 hours doesn't seem to hurt anything. And don't worry about over watering seedlings as long as the cups have good drainage. Stick your finger into the soil. It should be moist but not soggy.

yes i agree they look ok, whar chris mentioned about drainage is important, overwatering is bad for wee plants. they look fine, and those pots should be ok for a couple of weeks under those cfl's.

Also agreeing that they look alright. Seedlings and new growth will often exhibit a slight discoloration and it is rarely anything to worry about. Everything should darken up some and become lush, green and vigorous.

If you began to notice more pronounced chlorosis and the tips of the leaves went brown and necrotic it would be cause for concern.

thanks a lot for the advice guys. i was just making sure. i made good slits around the whole cup for drainage and i give them water until i see water coming out from the bottom and i stop for the next 2 days. ill keep you guys posted.

these were my other babies from before which turned into hermies. they were grown under cfls but this time i am using two 400w hps. hopefully i will get much better results under the hps its a bitch paying attention to males when changing into 12/12 but ill try my best....
