Germinating Seeds in Peat Pellets?

Hi newb here,

I'm getting ready for my first outdoor grow I am just waiting for my auto seeds to come in the mail. I bought peat pellets to germ my seeds in the kind that comes with a little mini greenhouse. Are peat pellets good for germing seeds in? Also when germing the seeds do I keep the greenhouse outside so it gets some sun or should it be indoors? I don't have any grow lights indoors so that is not an option. Also, I know to soak the pellets in water before putting the seeds in but do not know whether or not to water the pellets after that, if so how often and how much? Also how long until I should transfer the pellets into soil?

Sorry I know its a lot of questions but I am a newb and don't want to screw this up.

I just germinate in a eggcontainer line it with unbleach papertowels wet it, place seeds, cover with a damp paper towel shut box. Place in dark warm spot and check it each day. When you see a tap root, wait until it is three times the lenghth of the seed pod. Plant it in a plastic kegger cup, the small ones. Fill two thirds full make a hole agout as round as a ball point pen, 1/2 inch deep, place the germ head DOWN, root up. this forces the germ to make a 180 before poping up, It fights to get turned and in doing so,sheds the seed husk. This makes in my opinion a stronger more vivatious plant. If it starts to stretch lower light and use that last 1/3 of space in the cup tofill in with soil around the stalk. short compact with littkle space between each set of leaves is what you are after at this stage. Also I recomend not feeding with nutes untill u transplant into larger container don't be afraid to let it grow naturally for the first couple weeks.
