Germinating seeds smell of mold

I'm assuming I should toss them... Why did this happen and how can I prevent it? I used the paper towel method I don't have a cigar tube or I'd do it that way... Thanks.

Mm... Did you put them in a plastic bag and cut off all air, and temp around 80 Degrees Fhar? Thats what I do and never had a problem yet, I probably used this for 5 or 6 grows.

yeah i had them in tubberwear at like 70-80 degrees

i dropped them in rubbing alchohol for a second to kill whatever moldy shits on them and put em in a paper towel in a new tubberwear.. if the smell dosen't come back i'm gonna assume that it's chill.. if they don't pop oh well they smelt like shit anyway.

don't know about the rubbing alcohol. did you squeeze the paper towel? it shouldnt be soaking wet. I had some nirvanas - new purple power seeds and they were so small that nirvana actually gave me 20 instead of 10 seeds. But, what happened was i thought the seeds would have never popped and i did the paper towel thing and they never popped. So i just put them in the dirt and every single seed popped. Usually if done right they should pop within 3-5 days. If not just try putting them straight in the dirt.

i know that it has a weird stinky smell to it and i havent seen any mold so maybe its not mold? unless you see it.
