do u guys put light on ur germing seeds in wet paper towel or do u leave em in a dark place. I've seen people do both , which one is sbetter?
my ones i've gotten to germinate so far (2 1/2) were all REALLY old...but they were kept in fairly airtight pill bottles...im talkin like 2 years old too...i would say that keep them in the shot glass for a long time if they dont do well on the paper towel...the one i got planted popped after about 48 hours in the paper towel but took another 2-3 days for the sprout to get long enuf to plant...but yeah i would say just over moisturize those muthafuckas...maybe go two day cycles...shotglass for two, paper towels for two or three, then back if they dont sprout...i did that to all of mine and two sprouted after the second dip in the shot glass and about 3 days on a towel, but they are still really slow to make that thing longer...best of luck thats all my adviceYeah, with paper towels I kept things dark. I put a heating pad under a seed tray with a 3" humidity dome over it, and covered the whole thing with a bath towel to keep it dark. The heating pad will help if it's cold in your house now. I separated it from the tray with a piece of cardboard and put the pad on low and that prevented it from getting too hot.
Edit: This worked great for fresh seeds. I have some old seeds that I wanted to sprout, does anybody have any suggestions for older seeds, they're far more stubborn and all I could get to grow from them is mould :/
