Perhaps it just gives the illusion of faster germination... because you see it and could probably even write down the exact time you noticed the teensiest little bit of taproot emerging from the hull. But as you said; if that happens in 2 days time and then you put it into soil/less and it actually emerges from the soil a few days or more later...that is still 2-7 days. That's the same if not bit longer than my seeds typically come out of the soil (most with cotyledons open by 4 days). Temperature is more important if you ask me.ITS FASTER GERMINATION RATE when u put it into the water then waiting for it to germinate in the soil...
Ive alrdy done so.. One seed put into the soil (Moist soil) it sprouted in a little over a week i would say..
Then the seed dropped into the water. Germinated in 1-2 days sprouted in 3-4 days..
Its pretty equal but when i did it times were faster when i plopped the seed in the water then planted it with the white root sticking out.
Ive tried so many other techniques. This one by far has not done me wrong (Yet)
The warmer seeds are the faster they will germinate (whether they are in soil or paper towels).
Duh!!Lol, im not that smart but I think his post was sarcastic
