I know. It's the beginners fear of not doing something right. It is pretty simple. People overcomplicate the most simple things.
I'm screwed. My mat died. I put them in the tent. I cover them so no light gets in. I was thinking about using a heating pad until my new mat arrives tomorrow. I hope this doesn't screw up the seed.I use jiffy pellets for every seed I pop. I never soak seeds, germ in paper towels or anything else.
Straight in the presoaked pellet sitting in a germination dome with a heat mat. Seeds emerge for me typically in 4-5 days. Half the time I don’t even put the dome cover on.
All that to say that I’ve had great success with Jiffy pellets. Also as Herb mentioned, seed storage has a lot to do with germination rate.
Lmao. Absolutely right. So you suggest removing from the tent? Why no light? The forest gets sun light as well.No need for a heating pad........I throw mine in a drawer at room temperature.
I don't see any heating pads in the forest.
Seeds don't need light to sproutLmao. Absolutely right. So you suggest removing from the tent? Why no light? The forest gets sun light as well.
They're in the tent with no light leaking in. I put a black piece down and the covered with a fabric pot. I'll move them out. I could put them on water storage tanks but it's not very warm on them. Area is probably 65° FSeeds don't need light to sprout
Only seedlings need light
Top of the cable/satellite box is nice and warmThey're in the tent with no light leaking in. I put a black piece down and the covered with a fabric pot. I'll move them out. I could put them on water storage tanks but it's not very warm on them. Area is probably 65° F
This is where they are nowI use a heating mat just because it’s what I’ve always used. It’s not absolutely needed.
Toss in a drawer, on a cable box, back of the, kitchen counter, even the tent. The light won’t prevent it from sprouting, it’s just not needed.
WtfThis is where they are now
I never tried one. Trying to get there. And yes I need one, lol.May I suggest a fatty?
You need a padlock or they won't germinate.. comon, just leave them alone don't ovet water or subject to high heat. Drowning or cooking are not good for seeds. This is where they are now
They like it when you move it around a lot. /sarcasmF!@# it. I'm about to try it. Plant tip up or down
