it can take over a week for a seed to germinate, so give it some more time before you give up.

soak seeds in water till they sink 1 hour - 1 day then place in moist paper towel and place the towel in a plastic bag and put in a warm place. if you have had your seeds in water for 3 days you may have droun them

Why you trying to germinate in just a cup of water? Use paper towel method.

Paper towel is way of germinate. Don't think you can germinate in a glass of water :/
You can, but maybe it's because I have well water and didn't bother to pH test it (I noticed some fuzz around one or two of the seeds, could have been it dissolving the shell). But anyways drenched some paper towel, put it in a bag, wrapped it up in a blanket and I'll check in on it in a day or two. (My house is cold with no warm spots)

. Problem was two of them popped right out of their seed cases, and I think I took a bit off one of them so I don't know if I killed it during such a sensitivity stage. I transplanted five, but another one was reallyy twisty and I didn't think it'd go in the whole so I tried to straightened it and it snapped, but was still connected. Even though I'm sure it's dead I planted it anyways lol. What do you guys think?

put them in a cube and then keep it moist it will crack in time, and under a light somewhere 24 hours or 18/6 also are u using hard water or filter, if filter a little cal-mag in the water wont hurt either, and check for ph too
I'm using hard water, I have them under 24 hours now. Don't have a pH meter, but since the water worked to germinate them I'm assuming it's good enough to water them (I have well water, which collects rain water if I'm correct, and from what I've read rainw ater tends to have a slightly acidic pH, which is what I want. But I do need to grab one, just forgot when I went to Lowe's today lol)
