These are pics of day 2 of germination. I am not sure if they look ok, because I have never planted anything before, so this is all new to me. In my opinion they look weak and fragile. Is this normal? Is there anything I should be doing?
Ok I planted 10 seeds (all different strains, and after reading the forums I realize that was a big NO-NO!) in jiffy pots Jiffy seed-starting mix. I watered the soil before I added the seed, and then after. Today I just sprayed them lightly with water.
Right now, they are still in the humidity dome on top of a heating pad, and under a 13W CFL.
I am still preparing my grow room, but I have a 600W HID with conversion and digital ballast (not set up yet). I purchased some Mylar blankets, because I cant afford a grow-tent right now. I have 10 5-gallons pots that I will transplant them into in a couple of weeks. I bought the MG Moisture Control, which I realize after reading the forums that this was a huge mistake. I am going to the nursery today to purchase some FFOF soil, but my question is: can I mix the 2 soils together and add some Perlite and Dolomite Lime? Instead of taking the MG back to Home Depot for a refund?
Along with the Mylar I ordered some Big Bud nutrients for the flowering stage, but what is a good Nutrient with Nitrogen for the vegetative stage?
