germination

i have 7 mids bag seeds that i want to plant and for germination i was thinking about putting the seeds in water but ive heard different thinga about that like your supposed to only keep them in water for 24 hours and i also heard your just supposed to leave them in water until the root comes out of the seed. what is the proper way? i have a water bottle that is about 1/3 full would that work? also should i put the cap on or leave it off? any other growing and/or germination tips would be apreciated (oh yea and there gonna be grown outdoors)

i grow indoors but i germinated my seeds on a sourcer with just water with clingfilm they were showen there root within 24 hours wouldnt do it any other way

i put them in distilled water for 1-2 days in a dark place and then i put them in soil and still keep them in a dark place then i keep checking the soil everyday and once you see a root take it out of the dark and plant it in light. Not sure if theres a correct way but i'm pretty successful with that method

i pretty much do the same thing as cannonbud
i put my seeds in a plastic cup filled with about 1/3 distilled water
put them in a dark place and wait for them to "crack"
i check up on them after the first 24 hours
then i put them in my soil and watch them grow
but you can also do it with a paper towel except with a papertowel it is easy for it to dry out and kill your seeds...

naw phil ur wrong i put my seeds in between a moist paper towel and into a ziploc air tight. then into my grow room which has some warm degrees. my dank seed i put in there yesterday is almost fully cracked open now and i see the root =D

how can u say that its wrong ive got 9 plants on the go and there all in flower now off sewing them like that i no thats mother nature that i got 9 females (luck) u could just put the seed in soil and water it and it would grow whats right and wrong mate

I first place them in a cup of water in a dark place for 24 hours or sometimes a bit longer. I then tap any seeds still floating. (because if they sink they are typically good seeds). place the seeds that sink into a paper towel that is wet. put it on a plate and cover it with a bowl to create dark area and then in a day or two all show sprouting!
