Get max picture size in your thread

I see alot of small pictures in threads, and it is kind of annoying. The maximum picture size for an attachment on this site is 800x800. This is a math guide to get the largest picture possible and still post.

1.Find out what the pixel size is of your picture. ex. 3024x2048

2.Divide 800 by each size. 800/3024= .264... 800/2048=.390...

3.Round down to the nearest percent ex. .264=26%

4.Add the 2 percentages and divide by 2. 26+39=65 65/2=32.5

5.Again round down (because microsft paint needs whole integers) and you get 32.

6.Reduce the size of your pictures to 32% height and 32% width and you have you max size picture. This keeps it in proportion.

the 800x800 is a max pixel amount 640000 pixels, using this method you will get as close as possible without going over, like 63898 or something.

try it
