Cool pics. I got hella raccoons down my place too. I trap them and then the neighbor takes them someplace, he calls it raccoonville and says they're all real happy doing raccoon stuff and all.

it's short for "raccoon" actually.
you'd have to be racist yourself to think otherwise. ;)
Here's a little ditty I had saved on my note pad. I forget which thread it was associated with, but appropriate (:-P) and funny none the less.

my outside cat was just scratching at the fornt door. tried to ignore it, but she persisted. so i checked it out, her water was all mucked up and her food bowl was in the lawn, not the porch.

so i clean it all out and fill it all up with fresh food and water, and a minute later i hear the bowl moving again. i look outside, and a raccoon is out there staring back at me.

as i was typing this post, i heard them again, there's at least 4 of them. big fat ones. normally the neighbor gets home from work at this time and feeds them, i guess he's late and they're hungry.

i think i'll go make sure the chicken coop is locked up.

they will decimate your chickens just for the hell of it. They have been known to kill cats too. Keep an eye on your babies.

cat is in the garage now, coop is locked up tight, and the ducks refuse to be cooped. so they are on their own.

i watched as they ravaged my neighbor's outdoor cat food and he came out and chased them off. they live in a pine tree in front of his house and he's talked about them since we've lived here, i just never saw them until now.

I trapped and killed 7 of them this summer. They ripped off a masonry anchored crawlspace vent, made of metal, and decided to move into my crawlspace. I hate raccoons. Filthy, mean, nasty little critters.

All they had to do was stay in the woods and life was good. Bad choice of a new neighborhood :).

I feed a stray all the time on my back porch, and the other forest creatures love coming out and trying to get some free food. I have deer, raccoon, opossum, coyote, skunk, and many other creatures come into my yard.

My stray is a bad-ass, though. I saw him walk right up to a raccoon more than twice his size, who was trying to steal the food, and claw him in the face. The raccoon backed away from the food, letting the cat have it.
