gettin started

It's going to be my first attempt at growing. So far the setup I have in mind is a 400W Nextgen mh/hps above four plants. I'll most likely use the Scrog method for this grow. Its going to be in a grow tent and the space I have is 3ftX3ft and 5ft in height. The heat from the light will be vented out by an inline fan, that I plan on connecting a carbon air filter to as well. So far I have one Skywalker clone but I think im going to get sativas for the rest. Does that sound like a decent amount of space for 4 plants under 400W? Im kind of worried about the tent not being tall or wide enough to fit everything

How long will you be vegging?

If you dont mind me asking, how much will this setup cost you?

I plan on vegging for probably 3-4 weeks. The whole setup i going to cost around 800, possibly a little less if I do some DIY. Oh and does at least a QP every harvest sound like a reasonable goal with this setup?

a qp is easy if you get the growing basics right

if your only gonna do one light it may as well be a 1000

eh idk about that one. Dont get me wrong i'd love that setup, but im thinking 1000w would be too much for that small space. Plus i'm a complete beginner to growing. I was looking at the nextgen switchable 400W/600W though, but it seems kinda pointless. I'd probably always be running 600w then. Is 600W too much for that space? haha in terms of heat

if you say you are air cooling i would suggest a cooltubed 1000 watt, trust me if thats your only light it may as well be a 1000 watt hps, oh and if you only got 5 feet of height i would go with a sog op, read al b fucts get a harvest every 2 week thread or if from seed flower very early maybe the 2nd week
