gettin the indoor started

well now that the outdoor is over with its time to get the indoor party started. the 6 clones in the pic is from the outdoor. i have sum indica, and big bud like always. 2day was the first shot of nutes i feed the girls. i have just been watering them for a few months now to keep them under 12"tall. now its on like donky kong with the feedings.. hehehehe. i put sum beans down, sum crystle, shesh kc berry, and i think ty stic, but not sure. im running a 1000wtt MH bulb in a HPS ballast and a 400 wtt MH bulb in a 1000 wtt HPS ballast for a total of 1,400 wtts. veg nutes il be useing will be like always MG 24-8-16 and bat guano in nute free soil. i growen um big this time.. :mrgreen::blsmoke:

I am going to be ordering some G-13 seeds , and i wanteed something to go along with(i have Hawaiian snow and wwXssh) the order. I want a VERY high eilder so I was leaning towards Big Bud OR Mango. What would you say ?

i havn't exp. the mango yet but as for the big bud you can't go wrong with that strain for a big yielder and with huge buds too boot.:blsmoke:

Am I understanding this correctly, it's early be gentle....so you can run a MH bulb w/ an hps ballast??? YES? If yes I'm all over that, I have a 400 watt hps ballast but want to set that up for veg w/ a 400 watt mh, possible Mygirls?

??? The 1000w ballast won't blow out your 400 watt mh lamp? Or the 1000w ballast only pushes as many watts as the bulb is, 400w??

ya u can use a MH bulb in a HPS ballast , but i do believe that u lose a little power in doing so tho (e.g. instead of 400w, i think the bulb ill do something like 360 or 340? .. idk .. but still loads better than CFL'sbongsmilie

I always heard the ballast for both was different and that neither ballast would push the other type of lamp. I have a 400 w hps that I want to use for vegging but was leary of buying a mh lamp and having something blow or backfire on me:roll:. Mainly did not want to risk my ballast, too valuable. Must say I love my new 1000 watt switchable set up, just don't have the mh lamp yet for it but excellent results with flowers.

If you put a 400w lamp in with the 1000w ballast, you'll get 1000w in your lamp. Not a good thing. The reason HPS/MH lamps need a ballast in the first place is because these lamps do not regulate the amount of current coming through them - the more they are given, the more they will take. :peace:

yes i do this all the time. this ballast im having the problem with is a used 1000 wtt hps ballast i bought and it was already making a very loud buzing noise so im sure it already had a problem.

true about the mh bulb in a hps ballast not being as bright as being niamh ballats, but not true about 1000 watts running threw a 400 watt bulb. if that was true then as soon as you turned on the light it would immediately blow the bulb

ok so heres what my clones look like after 6 days of feing them and after they went a couple months of just being waterd. did that toslow the growth, now its on like donky kong..:bigjoint:
