Hello! i have been in flower for 7 weeks on 8 plants and 8 weeks on 2 plants. the pics are of a plant in the 7th week. i am super colorblind and have been looking at the trichs, the pistols and the calyxes. the hairs are still white (but have heard some strains the hairs stay white), the calyxes are fat and shrinking, but the trichs are st starting to get cloudy. i want to pull them at the optimal peak of THC production. here are some pics. i have a feeling these may need at least 2 more weeks, which leads me to my second question. when should i start the flush? i am growing in Sunshine Mix Advanced #4, coco based medium. i have been feeding them Botanicares line of Bloom nutes. Pro Bloom, some Liquid Karma and Cal/Mag. i started adding Silica Blast and Hydrobloom, but a couple of them go burnt pretty bad so i back off on the last 2. just using the Pro Bloom, LK and Cal/Mag. by looking at these pics, when should i start flushing??Newly Updated Sexy Bitch Pics 082.jpgNewly Updated Sexy Bitch Pics 065.jpgSeriouslySexy.1.jpgNewly Updated Sexy Bitch Pics 044.jpgSeriouslySexy.2.jpgNewly Updated Sexy Bitch Pics 017.jpgSeriouslySexy.3.jpgNewly Updated Sexy Bitch Pics 087.jpg

optimal time to cut em down (from what ive gathered) is when the trychomes are turning amber in color. being color blind im sure thatll be a little tough to see. Its after the cloudy stage. youll also need a microscope 30x strength. radio shack has em for under 10 bucks. flushing is said to be done the last week to 2 weeks. somewhere in that time frame.

oh!! btw, seems that every time i try to take pics of my garden the camera pics of all the hues of the HID. i know this can not be solved any other way, except for taking the plant out of the tent and using the white wall as a background. seems that is the only way my flash will even work on this camera even, weird! but, if i were to take pics inside the tent, even with the absurd glow of the HID fogging over every color of the pics of plants taken inside the tent, could someone still identify a "finished" plant? i think that glow is fucking me up bad. its like i only see 1 color inside the tent, unless i really focus hard. i hate being colorblind. it never was an issue at all until now. i could honestly care less about disifering different colors until now!! wish they made glasses that would help me see colors better. i hear then can make blind people see shapes with eye transplants now days, why not help colorblind people see colors?!

i have a 60x-100x lighted magnifier now and another 40x lighted magnifier coming in the mail. an i have been training myself to see the different color trichs by looking at the buds i have been getting. i have a huge selection to look at, so i have many different trichs. i just think some of the herbs i be getting may have been picked a little early, but then again maybe not. i was guessing at least 2 more weeks myself, however, my main concern is when i should probably start flushing.

I'd go like 3-4 more weeks with no nutes. Yellow all those leaves reallll good.
REALLY??? that long with no nutes?? well, here are pics of the plant that looks like she is ahead of the bunch. im guessing she is about a week ahead, just a fast finisher, technically she is a week behind, in week 7. so 4 more weeks, damn 11 weeks. i can not wait for my Attitude order!! here them pics of the her...Almost Done! 014.jpgAlmost Done! 011.jpgAlmost Done! 023.jpgAlmost Done! 024.jpgAlmost Done! 045.jpgAlmost Done! 021.jpgAlmost Done! 019.jpgAlmost Done! 030.jpgAlmost Done! 026.jpgAlmost Done! 017.jpg

Yes, many new growers make the mistske of over-feedong, especially in the last few weeks. If you feed strong nutes too late your buds will taste like fertilizer and be harsh. Lay off the nutes the last few weeks and let her finish.

ok! then no more nutes as of today!!! sweet! then i can save my Liquid Karma for my new veg plants. shit needs to stretch until rents paid, lol!! then i can go re-up on them nutes and shit. i think i need a daisy or ez-cloner. my skills in the clone making department are fucking lame at this point. cut 15 cuttings, 2 lived, have another 9 just recently cut. so hopefully my next few batches will be ready for the tent. i like to veg a lil longer then i need to though.

thanks for all the help!!!

please explain. is it because im in coco i don't flush? i need a lot better answer then that, please! you need to show your work!!
Dude... seriously? He needs to show you his work? You come onto a forum, ask for opinions, and then want to be convinced of those opinions? IDK, something about the "you need to show your work" peeved me.

With that outta the way, he (probably) said that either from experience or knowledge gained via searching/reading (you know... the thing you're trying to avoid).

Caveats: I don't grow in coco just plain ol' dwc and I'm 100% a new grower that is still 1.5-2weeks away from harvest.

My understanding is that there is one school of thought in which you flush by just using plain pH'd water for some varying period of time. The variation seems to be due to personal preference/experience and the grow media being used.

The other school of thought argues that the plant is fighting to stay alive (or at least to reproduce) in these last weeks and as such needs nutrients more then ever to do it's thing. Mind you, they aren't saying feed at 1.6EC up to chop day. At least I think not. From what I've read, some just like to gradually reduce the amount given weekly.

Personally, I've dropped 0.2EC last week and another 0.2EC this week. If this weekend the plant isn't looking to my liking, I'll cut it by 0.4EC for the last feeding next monday (Day 49) and then just keep adding water as necessary until the day I chop (probably next friday-sunday).
