Getting Frustrated Trying to Pick My First Bong...Plz Help

I'm trying to pick my first bong. But I have no idea which to pick.

Rewind a bit. I definitely want a Roor bong. At least a 5.0mm, and maybe a 7.0mm. As for the model, I want either the IceMaster, or the Little Sista with ice notches.

My wife suggested I post here regarding my indecision. She's usually right in steering me in the right direction.

Honestly, my only concern is that the IceMaster seems easy to overturn, because it has no water bowl like the Little Sista does. But the big water bowl of the Little Sista gives me concern, because I've read several places that diffusion through water removes some THC from the smoke. But I guess ice can too.

Anyway, if anyone can steer me here, I would greatly appreciate it.

But in all honestly, I've come to rely on RIU for timely and friendly help, as I always give when I can. Unfortunately, in this case, I've been let down.

I'll get over it. :)

If its your first one ever I'd get a plastic 20-30 dollar one just to see if its your thing, before spending hundreds. I've owned a lot of bongs through the years but none as expensive as the two your looking at, well not that I paid for( got some nice ones as gifts). Of course each to his own thing. I personally like a glass one hitter best. Alright all BS aside between the two you want, I'd pick the Little Sista. The shape lends itself to better hits and I've owned multiple versions of both styles of the bongs your looking at. I also own two ROORs and love them, although they rarely come out. I got 1 of them for free @ the first cannabis cup in Denver.

i got the roor narcisus, and it's bad ass.. i think it's based on the lil sista line, it's got the flame logo, ice notches, jeweled top, 18mm joints, 7 mm glass, blah blah fucking blah.. it's a super sweet piece, and i don't regret it at all..
i got mine from edit, took a few months to get it in my hands, but it's a nice bit of kit..

what are you unsure of walter? it was pricey, if that's your concern, i'd not worry about it.. it's a super quality piece imo, way heavy, and well made..

Hey Man, thanks for the replies. Price is not a major concern, although I like bargains as much as anyone. But as the saying goes "you get what you pay for". So I'm willing to pay.

I want a Roor with IceMaster capabilities. Either 5.0mm or 7.0mm. My only question is whether I need a Little Sista (with beaker-type bottom that holds a lot of water for more base stability), or a straight-neck IceMaster (which holds just a bit of water).

I'm pretty sure I want the 18.8 stem.

mine has the beaker bottom, and honestly, i think i'd recommend it over hte straight one as it sits way better and i'm never really worried about it tipping over if i were to sit it down half assed after a session, which has been known to happen from time to time..
i'm pretty sure the narcisus is based on the lil sista model, it's just like the higher end lil sista i do believe.. i'm far from a roor expect though..

that's the exact one i got, and where i got it from. it did take forever to get mine though.. i have heard that they're limited releases, and roor will wait till they get say 500 orders or w/e before they make a run, and once they get enough, then they'll run them, but again, i'm far from a roor expert, but it made sense to me at least.

Well, I apologize for being such a high-maintenance whiney princess about this. I can be that way sometimes. I'm just so hesitant about spending money on something unless I know all the details, alternatives, etc. But I do so appreciate the advice. I need it.

However, EveryoneDoesIt does not have them in stock. They estimate 2-4 weeks "pre-order". Which I'm afraid would turn into 2-3 MONTHS before it's over.

So, does anyone else sell authentic Roor bongs with better service than EveryoneDoesIt?

yeah walter, that's the same shit that ended up happening to me as well.. 2 weeks turned into a few months by the time got it... but they had said it was in stock when i ordered mine, o well, what can you do?
idk anyone else who carries roors like edit, but let me look right quick, brb...

yeah, idk walter.. i found a site, roor supply. blah blah blah, and it gives you descriptions on all of the pieces, then when i went and clicked on the buy new bong now link,it took me right to edit..
i also saw sativa . blah blah blah listed in one of the hits i saw as well... sativa also sells shit like clothing and watt not.. that's about all i know of them pretty much..

Thanks racer...I saw the same thing with the roor supply website...just links right back to EDIT...

I guess I'll have to take my chances with EDIT. Wish me luck. :-)

dude go get a glass wand and a propane soldering torch. so much flavor you will never want to use a lighter again. plus depending on how hot you heat the glass wand you can vape or fully combust the flower

Hey Walter,
what do you need the ice notches for? Do people still put ice in there? I remember doing it in the eighties, but haven't seen people doing it since. I left my bong outside to catch snow and when I sparked it up, my bong broke. It wasn't an expensive bong like a roor, but I learned my lesson. I only clean my bong w/ cold water, and only before I smoke never after. Quick temperature changes doesn't make your bong stronger. I've had the same bong since college, but I do have a back up for dabs.

i didn't read other people's responses but i will tell you Great Choice on Roor and i would Definitely Go with the Beaker Bottom! You use Very minimal water just a Thin layer on the bottom (if the stem is the right size)... and Cannabinoids are Fat Soluble there is No "thc" being lost in the water At All, besides the unburnt bud that falls through the hole if you don't use a screen, which i like to do because i fucking HATE Screens! and carbs! Those damn euros!

I Love ROOR glass, Unfortunately I just couldn't bring myself to spend that much on a pice.
Weedstar Bongs are pretty good bang for your buck, 7mm glass Beaker Bong, under $100, and a load of perc bongs for under $200.
Ive bought a few Weedstar pieces, a small perc, a couple beakers and the swiss cheese perc bong, and the oil dome. Very happy with all purchases, but the simple beaker bong is the smoothest and most flavoursome.

You could buy a selection of decent and really varied pieces from a company like Weedstar, for the price of one nice simple beeker bong from ROOR.
