Depends on too many factors to give a definitive opinion. However, Superthrive is GREAT for plants in that situation.

Any B1 or multi-vitamin, like superthrive, will help right away. Foliar feed will be immediate and root feed within a few days. Transplant shock is normal and usually only last up to a week if no nutrients are added. If you are experiencing yellowing of leaves, you must add vitamins and a good NPK fert.

No, I don't think that's the same thing (unless it's got the same stuff in it.. mine for houseplants does not).

it is cheap fert and does not include vitamins necessary for increased resistence to shock of any kind. But it will help growth, and is better then nothing. Never use the miracle grow soil you cannot flush it to correct any nutrient issues.

I think the thing with Superthrive and the vits is that it/they have things that stimulate root growth, which is what your little guy is in need of, right? I see the Superthrive cheap at places like Longs Drugs, Lowe'sdown, and Home Despot. Maybe even your local Kmart or Walmart (neither of ours carries it). I agree with The Garden Shed in this instance regarding the MG for this plant. I think it would be too harsh, and it's not what it needs. You can also just try Googling "transplant shock plant help recover", or something like that. Googling leads you to places you've never been before. :)
