I usually do Early Girls, serranos, maybe some climbing beans, and cilantro. Keeping it pretty simple. Next year I'm going outside the box and ordered the following:

If someone sees something they would like give me a dinger. lol I could probably share a few. There is nothing special, but thought I would throw that out there.

List looks pretty good. Ill be starting soon too. Those black tomatos look like something i need in my collection. I need to hit the online seed companies again. My seed box is getting pretty lame.
 
Hey H.L.G , nice work im in Aussie land, but ive grown, H>H & they are huge, up to 500 grms or 1/2 kilo
As 4 the black toms are they what they call , red & black, if so , yep there good, great taste, but jet black outside, & red in, there a heirloom, so seed saving is all good

The Tasmanian yellow will do well in cooler climates, as well as warmer ones, good luck

Hey H.L.G..........ya like butternut.........found these giant Butternut seeds on ebay a few yrs back, they go alright, this 1 weighed 5 kilo...........cheers

Thx H.L.G..........there the same , but here there called Red & Black.........heres 1 ive got going at present.......the only thing i dont like about em, is some of the fruit krinckle up a bit, so i just rip em off when i see there not going to be a nice uniform shape, & thats when there about 1-2 inches

Did cucumbers last summer in my earth box...a friend built me a rectangular tomato cage type thing that just fit around my earth box and cucumbers just grew right up it...slick as shit.
 
earthboxes are awesome have a few myself.last year I put in a garden bed,since I'm a bit in the woods I had the soil tested at the local college for amendments I may need.the analysis came back looking really good,a new test the college offers now is the microbe test which I thought was really cool.grew some tomatillo plants that got HUGE! fyi,they grow big just like a tomato plant so space them lol.next year I'm doing two tomato plants and that's it! I always get more than I need and they just take over the garden!
 
Ive done tomatillos before but they didn't turn out very big...although like you said the actual plant itself grew like crazy!!

I live on a hill so a proper garden would be a pain, its such a shame that those earth boxes sit idle all winter...
I did my last tomatoes in straw bales and they turned out great, put peppers in the 2 earth boxes and cucumbers in the other.

That's easy. Tomatos, onion, cilantro, garlic. The basics. I let a few of my cilantro go for seeds. They are small and all germ like crazy. I have a lot. If you want some hit me up.

Garlic - I've had success grabbing a few big bulbs from the store, breaking them up to cloves, then just push them in the ground.

It's pretty cool when you can make salsa from your own garden.

I bought some onion seeds I can send you.

Also have tomato seeds I could send your way.

Oh shit. I even have some nice pepper seeds.

Looks like all you will need to worry about is the garlic.
 
Galic is the easiest. Not the prettiest picture but you get the idea. I just made a mound and pushed the cloves in the dirt.

I don't know where you are. I'm in CA and could put them in the ground now and have garlic in the spring.
 
Garlic is very easy to grow, but always plant the biggest cloves, & dont let em shoot before planting, the roots never really catch up, as for a root plant there 1 of the few that dont mind a feed, unlike carrots & so on...........they also produce 10 fold when grown well
