Getting Ready For My Second Grow

I'm going to be growing in a 2'Wx3'Lx 5-1/2'H closet space.I already have my soil.I bought MiracleGrow perlite and MiracleGrow organic choice to mix together.Im thinking of buying this 400W HPS light for my grow.I need some opinions on this setup.

Will this be too much for my grow area?
And also will this soil choice be any good?

my grow box is very similar dimensions. Its one of those pantry things u can get all walmart for like 80 $. Works amazing But i only grow 1 plant at a time and i use a 150hps. But ur 400 would like work amazing. U will need a cooltube tho.

My first grow was in an aerogarden and that failed.so im still new to growing so this is probably a dumb question.what exactly is a cooltube?and can I make one to save some $?If so what would I need?

Ya man you can make cooltubes. Take a look at the DIY (do it yourself) threads and there is lots of guides to making ur own cooltube. More or less its an object that u put ur balb in with constant airflow through this tube to keep the heat off ur plants so u can put it at the idea height

Would A 400W HPS Light System Make My Light Bill Go Up Alot More??

I can't see 400 Watts having any noticeable affect on power consumption. In cold climates there are space heaters that are 1500 Watts, some people run them all day. In hot climates there are air-conditioners at 1500 Watts+ and humidifiers, so 400 Watts isn't much. Might be $20 a month max, and likely less than that.
