i will be 4 weeks in with this one plant, it is very strong about10 inches tall real bushy. i was wondering if i can flush with just pure water and give 24 hrs darkness then switch, and should i have any nutes during the flush. i would like to get the switch done right with a little help from my rollitup friends,i hope, thanks:-?

I switched directly into a 12/12 schedule, no nutrients added, no flush and no 24 hour dark period. I didn't want to stress the plants more than I was already going to by switching from a 24 light schedule since birth. Just me and I am no pro, other thoughts?? I run my lights from 7am-7pm so that I don't have the "Alien living in my closet" situation. :)

I have read about the 24 hour dark period somewhere else in here. There was a little controversy about it. Seemed like most were going with "It didn't accomplish much"

none of that is a must, i asked about the dark period before i switched and got no positive info on it, for a seamless stressless switch, just switch the lights. i dont think you want to flush as they will still need the nutes, all you want to do is feed transitional nutes if you have. taper of on the 'n' and bulk up on the 'p' till you go full strength on the bloom nutes. it really is an easy thing. simplify. goodluck

I just switch straight to 12/12 lighting, no 24 hour period of darkness is really needed. As for flushing, it's not really necessary as well when switching to a 12/12 light cycle. Just make sure that you are using your flowering nutes as the nutrients of the plant that are needed change. Good luck.

you should not flush. you should also make sure you give them a veg nute feeding every 2 or 3 times you feed. During the stretch phase of flower when the plant will double to triple in size by the end of it the plants use tons of nitrogen. the dark period does not help.the flowering hormone is always present w/cannabis. however it is destroyed by light which during longer photoperiods prevents the hormone level to get high enough to trigger flowering. so in theory it sounds good. 24 hrs of dark will increase flowering hormone levels . But heres the thing-once its hit the level needed for triggering flowering increasing the amount of hormone doesnt make flowering start/go any faster. your just giving your plant 12 less hours to make energy for its first day of flowering

Flushing is done 2-3 weeks before the plant is ready to harvest, using water.

Once the plant is flowering, It is going to need more phosphorus.

In Vegging the plant should have received more Nitrogen..

Start with a 1/4 strength of nutes and work your way up, Seeing how they respond..

The plant is going to need to be watered more often, So keep that in mind!
Good luck and just flow with it. She will show you how she feels.

Good Airflow is also key for Sticky Puffy Buds!
