Getting the right ppm during veg??

Whats up guys,
Im on just my second grow, and still new to it. lol I recently purchased the dipstick ppm meter at my local grow shop, and im just using Bio-bizz Fish mix by itself as my veg nutrient, going off the back of the bottle i already maxed out on the amount it recomends to feed and it only reached 500 ppm (with distilled filtered water), so my question is, should i keep adding fish mix till i achieve my desired ppm? or is there other nutrients i should be using along with it? and if so what are your guys recomendations? hope to get some good feedback,

what is your desired ppm? i think the fish mix is 6-3-5 right? that's a good veg formula. just add more till you hit your desired ppm. i never go over 850-900ppm in veg.

Sweet, thanks! yeah i want to be around 900 ppm, and the fish mix is 2-0-4, ive herd its one of the best organic nutrients, it worked well for me last year. I just wasnt sure if i should be running something else with it.
