Gotcha that's my plan to train durning strech .. ThanxAs long as the canopy is filled out after the stretch period is finished. How much more it grows during the stretch depends on the strain/pheno you're growing.

I agree totally with the plant numbers and I veg for 20 days typically. I guess its just how things are worded that may be confusing.Once again we are having a misunderstanding. I know that a plant vegged for three monthes will yield more. What I was saying is if your one plant you vegged for 3 monthes filled the same canopy (sq feet) as 16 of mine that I vegged for one week will yield the same. As long as the canopy space is even filled between the two different scenarios they will yield the same. Equal canopy size=equal yields.
Why spend so long getting the canopy full, other than low plant counts?
Actually I was talking about the same veg period, which is typically 21 days. The extra plants seemed to really crowd the whole lot. I tend not to do much training but found with 6 there wasnt any room to train lol.Yea I did four with more vegg once , so I vegged less this time to accomdate 6 per , just so I have diffrent strains ,
Go for it. Always willing to help those who actually want to learn. If you don't mind my picking your brain a little . I have a few more questions
I lst my plants on a trellis nets after the first 4 days of flowers. Train them to grow horizontally for the time it takes to fill screen, usually takes about 10 days. From day 14-21 let them just grow, no training other than keeping canopy even.By filling out canopey is this something I can do during the first few weeks of flower or does it need to be done during vegg .. I don't want to sound like a complete noob been only growing a few years. But just trying to set a new ceiling ..
I did one in a undercurrent system. The buckets will about an inch apart (just enough for grommets and pipe). It was a 54 site over 4k. Yielded great but was a lot more work and worry than my flood and drain. If your comfortable with it, it can work, it was really expensive to set up a large enough system to do a SOG in though.Yea my last few grows were just a little training but tree style if that makes any sense this go around I'm going to put up a net like a. Scrog and train during the strech . Trying to cut vegg time down to one week after cuttings pop roots if that mean going to a sog style I might entertain that as well .. But would a SOG be best suited for DWC , would rather keep doing that easiest for me . Did the areo soil never flood and drain buy DWC is just easiest for me .
Your flood and drain you plant in tub or individual and if individual what size and matural you useGo for it. Always willing to help those who actually want to learn.

That's why I have asked for your help.......I have been thinking about this method for a while now........quality wise will it be up to par with a plant that has been vegged for say 4-6 weeks???Vegging another week is only going to yeild more if your room has space for it. If you veg too long and pack the same number in your actually goin to yield less.
SOG is king for quick turn around and yields.
Individual. 6 liter 7 inch white square pots with Sunleaves rocks.Your flood and drain you plant in tub or individual and if individual what size and matural you use
No difference in quality. That's why I have asked for your help.......I have been thinking about this method for a while now........quality wise will it be up to par with a plant that has been vegged for say 4-6 weeks???
Thanx I do that GONNA give it anthor day to see if it having problems getting threw the net ..Cut the centre mesh out and you can have your 2+2.......I've done this with a net the same dimensions as yours.......and........it took me fkn ages......but it did work....not used it yet but I do plan to in the near future.......
Debatable. Give the plants what it needs at the times it needs it.Highly debatable.
Eh I'm thinking of going to flood and drain for this next batch . In a SOG type style , I would have to use a 4x2 table how big of rez and number of plants would you recommend??No difference in quality.
I am running two 600 with cool tube reflector tubes , but I want a rotation were im bring in a new set every four to six weeks not 8-10.the bigger the yield generally the lower the quality. unless you have done something wrong.
i have had 1.4gpw in a horizontal set up with no co2, overcrowding meant i was battling pm and the lower stuff was quite fluffy.
when i get around 0.8gpw every single bud is dense and resinous, it makes for a more consistent product not having the plants all touching each other in the canopy.
if you aren't getting at least 4 harvests a year out of the same flower room then you are are going to struggle to get max yield per year which is how i feel a successful gardener should be judged.
i have one garden(2400w) that does 3 harvests per year of large plants and each harvest is big but i have another garden that runs less wattage (1800w) but because i can make it produce four times in 12 months it actually beats the performance of the bigger flower room.
the easiest way i could fill your space seeing as it is wide but shallow would be 2x 600w cooltubes with two rows of 8 plants in 2 gal pots (coco) 2-4 weeks veg and if you can't hit a gram per watt i would be very surprised, as mentioned earlier genetics can make your life very easy but i also feel that any genetics can yield given the proper treatment.
Personally a 40 gallon, but that probably won't work well under a 2x4 considering it's bigger than the tray. So a 20, you'll have to top off atleast once a week. I would do 18 plants vegged for about 5 days.Eh I'm thinking of going to flood and drain for this next batch . Can you send me to the link you use to buy your pots pleasePersonally a 40 gallon, but that probably won't work well under a 2x4 considering it's bigger than the tray. So a 20, you'll have to top off atleast once a week. I would do 18 plants vegged for about 5 days.
